I would like to try that too. Never seen it, but you had me at Coffee Oatmeal Imperial Stout.

It was a birthday gift from my sister-in-law. She picked that and several other beers up for me at Bocktown in Pittsburgh. I haven't tried the Rogue Chocolate Stout, Lagunitas Cappucino Stout or the Full Pint Perc E Bust Porter yet. Bocktown is awesome.

Yeah, but how much are they selling it for? There's still a bunch at Hyde Park Wine and Spirits, but its $4 per 12 oz bottle.Curly J;1104172 wrote:Jungle Jim's has quite a few bottles left. I'm not sure how many The Party Source has.

Went to the Great Lakes Brew Pub the other day, had Doppelrock and Black Racer. Both very good. Then had a Christmas ale at Applebees and at home finished a few LH milk stouts as well as some Conway's Irish ale. Also a bomber of Hoppin Frog Pumpkin and one of Lagunitas Wilco Tango Foxtrot. Was some DFH Raison D'etre and homebrew chocolate atouts in there as well. Was a good Friday

You went to the brewpub and didn't get Lake Erie Monster?! Shame on you. It is vastly superior to Commodore Perry as an IPA.I Wear Pants;1105125 wrote:Went to the Great Lakes Brew Pub the other day, had Doppelrock and Black Racer. Both very good. I'm not sure what the price is, but I will check next time. I'm one of those stupid guys that will pay anything for a beer I want.

Yep I believe it's a seasonal. But a damn fine beer from them none the less, maybe my favorite from them.I Wear Pants;1105390 wrote:Don't think they had Lake Erie monster
I'm having the Southern Tier 2X tonight. Not bad at all. I don't want to stop drinking it.

And to further expand it was the 2X Stout not the 2X IPA.

It is a seasonal that they only make during the spring, but oddly enough I was at the brewpub about 3 weeks ago and they had it.I Wear Pants;1105390 wrote:Don't think they had Lake Erie monster

Going to the lizard tonight or tomorrow and I'm going to have the Stone Cali-Belgique. A Belgian IPA. Anyone else have it yet?

I had it the other night. It's OK, but I've had better IPA's from Stone. It's a bit maltier than other IPAs, with a decent enough amount of citrus to balance out the malt. Not "piney" enough for my taste, but a solid beer nonetheless.OneBuckeye;1105784 wrote:http://beeradvocate.com/beer/profile/147/43905/?sort=serv&servT=2&start=0

I should say, the aroma is more of a malt, while the finish is more citrusy. So it balances.

I will say I'm really liking Flying Dog Imperial Coffee Stout. It is a little low in ABV for an Imperial, but nice flavor. I've been finishing my nights off with this one lately. I'm having one warm now. Yum !!!

Will have to try this, passed on it a few times. I'm not a fan of Flying Dog other than Gonzo Imperial Porter (never understood the Imperial Porter style name though).Curly J;1108738 wrote:I will say I'm really liking Flying Dog Imperial Coffee Stout. I really liked this one too. I don't know about drinking it warm though. Not saying it needs to be ice cold but warm beer...bleh.Curly J;1108738 wrote:I will say I'm really liking Flying Dog Imperial Coffee Stout. It's just something I got use to, drinking some beers warm that is. It depends on the style, ABV, and hops profile. (usually Imperials or Doubles and Ales only)
The Wife stocked the fridge, but only put two of those in it. I wanted another so i had to do what I had to do. I look at it as drinking warm red wine...or just being a drunkard.

DFH Robert Johnson Hellhound Ale. Dispointing for the price point. Maybe a 5.5/10

I am not a beer snob but did pick up a couple of craft beers last night.
I tried a Smuttynose IPA, I liked it. Then I tried a Laguna Censored Red Copper Ale, tasted a lot like Killian's.
