I don't drink any more but as an FYI, to those who might be in the Lodi (Medina County) area, a beer truck (Thirsty Dog?) got in an accident with another truck and there's beer all over the freeway. Might be able to snag some "samples." ;)

I already had Pumking. I had it the day it hit the shelves. Jungle Jim's has it on tap, so I had to have a glass. The first glass I had tasted different than in years past. It wasn't as sweet and was more bitter than I recall. I had it again a couple of days later and it was better. Tried a bomber of it and it was awesome. Must have been the line that caused the bitterness. Maybe they had an IPA on that tap before the Pumking. Love this beer.

Doing a show at Hoppin' Frog next week. They have their Hollow Double Pumpkin available now and I've never had it, so I'm really looking forward to trying that. I also want to try the B.O.R.I.S. Chocolate Beershake.

Next week is also the Cincy Brew Ha-Ha. It's bumped up to three nights this year instead of just two. I think I'm doing sets each night, but I'm really looking forward to bumping up my Untapp'd list during this year's festival.

As part of my week long give-my-paycheck-to-Southern-Tier-brewing, I picked up a Warlock which is an Imperial Stout brewed with pumpkins. Currently chilling in my freezer.....will update later.

I didn't notice much different in terms of taste between Warlock and Pumking last year. Maybe I was just drunk. But, they were so close I didn't notice any difference. I'd like to try them side-by-side this year.

Disappointed. What a lack of flavor, it just falls apart so quickly. It even sucks at being a stout. Good thing I spent $9 for a bottle

Had my first Rivertown, their pumpkin ale last night. Was awesome stuff.

Also had Founders Dissenter, their new backstage beer. Was an imperial pale lager, was very interesting/unique. Worth a try for sure. Anyone else try it?

That's my second favorite Pumpkin ale, after Pumking. They have a new beer out called Hulk SMASH. It's part of their Single Malt And Single Hop series (SMASH). It's quite good. If you find it I suggest trying it. It's the hopiest beer I've ever had from them. The brewer who developed this one is actually leaving Rivertown and going to work at a new brewery opening soon in Cincinnati. Taft's Ale House.

I have the Dissenter in my fridge. Might have it Tuesday night.
