Was not impressed with the Jolly Pumkin Oro del Calabazza, too bitter for me, enjoyed the Brew Kettle Jack Hammer Barleywine, Brew Kettle 4Cs, and the Lion Chocolate Stout much more.

Okay I just had a Weyerbacher Insanity. I forgot how great this beer is as it's been a while since I had it. I mean Barleywine on Oak. It doesn't get much better and Weyerbacher puts out some incredible beers.

This sounds delicious. I LOVE a good barleywine, and Weyerbacher puts out some good brew. Love their Tiny, so I imagine they have a good base for the higher potency beers.

I'll have to keep an eye out for this.

I've never had a bad beer from them. Their everyday beers are solid. I really liked their Prophesy. It was their Merry Monks that was Oak aged. I believe it is Retired now. I'm still setting on a Tiny that is over a year old.

Had a couple New Glarus over the weekend and some Southern Tier Double Milk Stout. I wish all Southern Tier came in 6 packs. Also had some "33" but only because we were having Vietnamese that night.

Friend of mine, who is also into craft beers, told me last week he tried one of those Redd's Apple Ales. He claimed that it was pretty good and will be awesome during the summer. I scoffed at the notion that this could be good. So Friday I was picking up some things at the grocery and grabbed a sixer of it thinking ah screw it i'll give it a shot. HOLY F### is that stuff horrible. It tastes like apple cider vinegar. It may be the worst "beer" and I use that loosely that i've ever had. Everyone has been warned!! Although I don't think most of you would have bought it in the first place!! :)

For some reason I've never had anything from Weyerbacher. For years I passed their stuff up just because it didn't look interesting, now I've read some good stuff about them I want to give them a try just never do.

I honestly can't think of a bad beer I've ever had from them. I cut my Craft Brew teeth on many of thier beers earlier on. (2005ish) It's weird to see their Retired Beers as these were some of my early tastes. I highly recommend them. Especially the Barrel aged offerings.

Little late to the party here. But Hyde Park Kroger has White Rajah pretty regularly. It's on the wall by the liquor store, just past the tonic waters. It's been in stock the last three times I've been there.

Palate Wrecker was finally on the shelves at Giant Eagle. Picked up a 4-pack. Also grabbed a Vertical Epic 12.12.12 to age.

Uck FinBev.
