Had a couple IPAs last night, not my style, but they were gifts. Both were pretty good and I'd probably buy them if I saw them. First was the Lagunitas WTF, tasted similar to a Stone Arrogant Bastard. The other was a black IPA which wasn't bad.

Not sure if this beer has been mentioned in here yet. For my 30th birthday we did a beer tasting where everyone brought a 6 pack of whatever beer. A friend that grew up in Cleveland brought a sixer of White Rajah IPA from The Brew Kettle. It won. Awesome beer.

It's been talked about on here and is available in this area. The Jungle usually has it. It goes off the shelf pretty quick.

Very jealous. I pick some up every time I'm up in WI. Their Black Top is good, also a fan of their Moon Man IPA and some of their more limited bombers that you can get from the brewery.Raw Dawgin' it;1402690 wrote:You jealous? The boss of the other company we share our office with brought back a Smuttynose sampler box for this afternoon. I'm having the IPA now. Not bad. Not great. Just okay.

Bought a 6er of the new Magic Hate IPA on Tour tonight. It's a Rye IPA. Kind of a coffee after taste, but very good. A lot better than the Pistel IPA.

Not a bad beer there. For some reason, I always liked Raging Bitch.
Would love to hear a review of that brew.Commander of Awesome;1403152 wrote:Had Speedway on tap last night, holy shit is that beer good. Tonight Sucaba is chilling in the fridge.

2013 bottle poured into a FSW tulip glass.
A: Pours a dark Ruby red, that I can slightly see through. VERY thin white head, that dissipates quickly. Surprised by the lack of alcohol legs on this one, for such a high Alcohol %.
S: BIG barrel, bourbon sweetness, medicinal dark cherry. Not very aromatic for me which is surprising. Vanilla striking in as well.
T: Vanilla, caramel up front. Very smooth with light maltyness.Getting slight medicinal cherry on the tongue as well.
M: Medium bodied, slight alcohol burn warming the mouth, minimal carbonation, sticky sweetness coats the mouth.
O: A home run from FSW. Fantastic beer, that I can't wait to see how it develops.
