What's everyones drink of choice for this Thanksgiving?? I've gotta go over to Indiana tonight for Thanksgiving. Gonna hit a beer store over there and try and score some goodies for the extended weekend.

Not a beer ... for me it's egg nog and brandy. Although there will be plenty of beer, too :)

The correct answer to this quandary is Three Floyds.

I have to have a dry thanksgiving unfortunately. I've been saving my 2nd Pumking for the occasion too.

Growler of Buckeye Lake Oatmeal Stout or IPA or both for this evening. I'm sure my company will enjoy.

Just had it on draft. Good lord is that good.

Also, word is Lagunitas is making Lagunitas Sucks Special Ale (their brew that they made when they fucked up Brown Shugga in 2011) a year round brew since they just opened a new brew house in their brewery.

First micro brew I ever had. Broke me in and introduced me to the world of quality-made brew.

This guy is doing it right.

I went to a bar after work hearing they had Stone Drink By on tap. They didn't. Had to "settle" for Pliny on tap instead. Walked to the local bottle shop afterwards and snagged 2 bottles of Drink By. Then proceeded to come home and drink a Pumpking. All and all solid night. Now to make it through next 48 sober hours.

Drank quite a few Left Hand Brewery "Stranger" at the show tonight. I'd like to pretend they didn't know what they were doing when they named that brew...but I'm sure they did.

Had several Shiner Holiday Cheers tonight. They were okay. A little too much fizz, but I liked the peachy undertones and the fact that it wasn't over-spiced.

Nice day today. Brewed an all grain FBS clone with a couple of friends. Lucky there were 3 of us there cause at times we needed all 3. Ran into some mechanical/breakage issues which caused out straining to go harder than we expected. Fermenting for a week then re-fermenting another week in coffee. We'll see how it turns out in 4 weeks.

We shared some Rivertown Geuze, DFH Hellhound, and Speedway Stout during our brewing.

Only doing two total weeks? Seems a bit quick of a turn around. I usually primary for 3 and secondary for 1-2 depending on how much I want/need it to clear.

Sounds like it'd be a tasty beer though. Recipe?

Splurged a little today, but my in-laws' Thanksgiving is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so it was at least a special occasion. I had:

2 - Founders' Old Curmudgeon
2 - Lagunitas' Brown Shugga
1 - Oskar Blues' Yella Pil
2 - Founders' Backwoods Bastard

I'd never had the Backwoods Bastard before. Reminded me a LOT of Dragon's Milk. LOVED it, and I WILL buy it again.

Yella Pils ... meh, it's a pilsner. Someone who enjoys them more might be better to ask about it, but I personally would take Avery's Joe's Pils over it for a canned pilsner.

Brown Shugga was as good as I remembered, as was Curmudgeon.
