I'm diggin' 12 Dogs of Christmas when it comes to that style. I need to have an Anchor Christmas. I have a bottle of it from 2005.

Currently having a Mad Elf.

I have always thought of stout as roasted coffee and porter as heavy hop & slightly sweet.

Opened my Lagunitas Imperial Stout last night, that's minimum 2 and half yrs old. Smelled strong of soy sauce which made me nervous, but tasted great. Changed throughout the drinking process as well. Towards the end it was a creamy chocolate flavor. Followed that up with a trip to the local pub which just put on Firestone Walker Double DBA on tap. Unbefuckinglieveable. Goes in the bank as one of the best beers I've had on tap. Liberated the FSW glass they served it in on the way out as a trophy to remember epic beer that was had that evening.

Speaking of AB/InBev, I'm drinking my GI Bourbon County Brand Stout right now. As soon as I cracked the top I could smell the bourbon. It's pitch black and super thick, but is very sweet. Overall a very good beer and hope to get more in the future.

This is good stuff. Grabbed 14 bottles of 12 Dogs of Christmas, a sixer of ST 2Xmas, 2 SN Celebration Ales, a North Coast Wintertime Ale and a Troegs Mad Elf Ale.

Damn! Someone is definitely in the mood for Christmas ales.

Anyone make an eggnog stout or something? Seems like something Southern Tier would do.

I thought Southern Tier's 2X Christmas was over spiced honestly.

Rocked the Stone Mint Chocolate stout, Victory Storm King, Abita Christmas Ale, and YuleSmith Chirstmas Ale tonight. Good stuff.

Makes me appreciate GLBC that much more.

They may not make the best but goddamn, they are consistent.

Ooops, I should have explained better. The pint of PBR was just the beginning. I did mention mixing yuengling and PBR together. I did not make it clear how many yuenglings will be consumed.

Phin and Matt's is actually pretty good. Can't remember my opinion of 422.
