If I were at a party and that was my only means of getting buzzed or drunk, i'd drink them until i didn't notice what they tasted like.Commander of Awesome;1316642 wrote:Ok come over, I have tons of free and cold pumpkin beers. And a few sweet fruit beers which I think you'll just love.

Did I say Pumpkin and Fruit beers? I meant that brown beer you sent back that you mentioned in here while back.

If you owned climax nut brown ale, i'd take a shit on your floor and leave. You'd deserve that for owning that beer.Commander of Awesome;1316647 wrote:Did I say Pumpkin and Fruit beers? I meant that brown beer you sent back that you mentioned in here while back.

12 Dogs of Christmas growing on me more than GL Christmas Ale. That's why they play the game, I guess!

GL Christmas Ale on tap last night, with sugar/cinnamon on the rim of the glass. Very nice!

I had Lucky 13astard yesterday - It was hoppier (is that a word?) than I thought it would be, but I liked it since it had some sweeter malts to balance out the hops. I have a double bastard in the fridge and I'm not sure if I'll like it since it's probably hoppier than the lucky, but I'm a big fan of Stone Brewing so i had to give these a try.

Double is indeed hoppier, but I doubt you wont like it. Its basically an imperial amber hopped up. One of my favorite beers.

The sweeter flavors should balance out the hops. Though IPAs aren't my favorite types of beer, I don't mind beers with a stronger hop flavor as long as there is a balance and the hops isn't over powering.Commander of Awesome;1318500 wrote:Double is indeed hoppier, but I doubt you wont like it. Had this last night - It's not the best porter i've ever had, but it has a nice coffee flavor and is really smooth. I could have put down a few bottles, not to strong and real easy to drink.

There's nowhere near enough Lagunitas Brown Shugga talk in here. Had two bottles on Saturday, it's awesome.

Best tl;dr article I've been able to find regarding the difference between a stout and a porter that no one probably gaf about.

Can't all the brewers get together and just set some arbitrary ABV limit for stouts/porters so I can stop hearing about it? Let's call it 7%?

Legit saw on twitter on way out today at the store/tap room closest to me at work got Firestone Walker 16 on tap. Went in had a pour and bought a bottle. On tap was good, really hot though. Def needs some time. I still have 2 bottles of 15 that I'm sitting on waiting for a good occasion.
