I want to sample a bunch of Christmas Ales. Any suggestions? I already have Southern Tier and Great Lakes.

Having Miller Lite in those cute little 7oz bottles since Keselowski won the Sprint Cup Championship...and because fuck InBev!!!
I did pick up some of the Brew Kettle Winter Warmer which I've never tried.

Sierra Nevada Celebration Ale. About to crack one of these in a few minutes. Had it last year, I think its better than GL Xmas.playall18;1324154 wrote:I want to sample a bunch of Christmas Ales. Any suggestions? I already have Southern Tier and Great Lakes.
I also have a bottle of Fat Head Holly Jolly Christmas Ale. I'll let you know how that one is after I try it.

Anchor's Merry Christmas and Happy New Year and 12 Dogs of Christmas are a couple more.playall18;1324154 wrote:I want to sample a bunch of Christmas Ales. Any suggestions? I already have Southern Tier and Great Lakes.
Mooney, I really liked the Holly Jolly better than the GL Christmas.
Back to the real beer now for me, Expedition Stout time. It's tasting better tonight than it was the other night. Maybe because I had those Miller lites first.

I had my first taste of Oskar Blues tonight. Picked up a 4-pack of Deviant Dale's. Loving it.

I know you're a fan of reds since you're a ginger, try their G'Knight. It's awesome.sherm03;1324503 wrote:I had my first taste of Oskar Blues tonight. Picked up a 4-pack of Deviant Dale's. Loving it.
Speaking of Oskar Blues....I had Ten Fidy yesterday and god damn is that good. It's probably the darkest stout I think I've ever drank though.
Also, drinking Fat Head Holly Jolly right now and its a totally solid winter warmer. I'm not a huge fan of the style though. Sierra Nevada is more of an IPA which is probably why I like it more than other winter beers.

Almost picked that one up. But I've been on such an IPA kick that I wanted to try the Deviant first. I'll probably grab some G'Knight when I polish this 4-pack off.Mooney44Cards;1324518 wrote:I know you're a fan of reds since you're a ginger, try their G'Knight. It's awesome.

That's the good part about G'Knight. It's a red but is so damn hoppy that it comes off as a malty IPA.sherm03;1324519 wrote:Almost picked that one up. But I've been on such an IPA kick that I wanted to try the Deviant first. I'll probably grab some G'Knight when I polish this 4-pack off.

I'm done until Christmas. Had a 12 "Pack of Pales" from Southern Tier this weekend, and it was decent. Will probably pick up some Christmas beers for the next holiday gathering. Will probably go Sierra Nevada.

I noticed I also have a Goose Island Christmas Ale in the fridge. Will try tonight and report back. For science!

Reporting back on the Goose Island Christmas Ale.
Unless you like cranberry juice, don't get it. It nearly tastes like pure cranberry juice or like cranberry cider. It's technically a brown ale. It seemed like they tried to go the Lagunitas Brown Shugga route and make a super sweet brown ale but they used fruit juice instead of brown sugar and the results are mediocre at best. I could see how some people might like it but its not for me.

Going to Buckeye Lake to get a growler of their christmas ale, very spice and very good.

Finally trying Mad Elf for the first time. Really fruity and boozy, overall a good beer.

It's a Serious Business Beer with Serious Business flavor and alcohol. I need to get more of it.
I'm having a Rivertown Ville De Rivere Geuze. Very nice blended Sour Ale. Much smoother than their Lambic, which I love.

Debating on opening Deviant Dales or Stone IRS. I'm thinking I'll go Deviant Dales, seems to go with homemade pizza.

No joke the price tags at Kroger call Deviant Dale's "Devante Dales". I don't even wanna say what I'm thinking about the moron that input that into the computer system.
Had Columbus IPA and Columbus Winter Warmer today since I drove through Columbus to YTown. IPA was amazing as always and the Winter Warmer was not bad. Not as in your face as some others.
