Got to love Costco, picked up a case of Celebration Ale for $25 last night.

Drinking Stone Drink By 12.21.12
Meh, its a solid West Coast IPA, but nothing special IMO. I'm not even a huge West Coast style guy, prefer the East Coast malty style. Less Lemon/pine citrus taste. Wouldn't buy it again.

Sounds like it'd be a tasty beer though. Recipe?
That's what the recipe called for. My friend sent us all a video this morning saying We've got Fermentation. Air lock was bubbling away. It should be around 8% per the hydrometer.
I have the recipe at work. I'll PM it or post it here when I get a chance.

I love Backwoods Bastard.O-Trap;1328399 wrote:Splurged a little today, but my in-laws' Thanksgiving is always the Saturday after Thanksgiving, so it was at least a special occasion. I had:
2 - Founders' Old Curmudgeon
2 - Lagunitas' Brown Shugga
1 - Oskar Blues' Yella Pil
2 - Founders' Backwoods Bastard
I'd never had the Backwoods Bastard before. Reminded me a LOT of Dragon's Milk. LOVED it, and I WILL buy it again.
Yella Pils ... meh, it's a pilsner. Someone who enjoys them more might be better to ask about it, but I personally would take Avery's Joe's Pils over it for a canned pilsner.
Brown Shugga was as good as I remembered, as was Curmudgeon.

Settled into a Stone Mint Chocolate as I didn't want to commit to staying up late enough to enjoy Stone IRS. After finishing Stone Mint I decided to have another beer anyways. Should have know better. Finished with a Pyramid Oatmeal Stout (the only Pyramid worth having IMO)

I had this over the weekend - I thought it was great. It had more of a porter feel than a brown ale feel. Smooth finish, good malt taste, and strong.

Haven't had breakfast stout in a while. I'll have to grab some next time I'm at Giant Eagle.

I like the Fireside, of course I like pretty much everything from them as they are some solid brews. I know Justin had some on Thanksgiving hoping he'll chime in. This reminds me that I need to pick some up next time I'm at the store, as it's been a while.

Never had the fireside, love their black IPA though. Had Hop Crisis a while back, thought it was disgusting. I've avoided them every since. I'll give that one a shot next time I'm buying beer.
Buddy of mine brought back an Unfiltered DBA growler from Firestone Walker. We did a mini tasting of Unfiltered, regular bottled DBA and Double DBA. It was cool to try the 3 different versions back to back.

I thought it was ok but it's also not in my wheel house for types of beer I like. If you like IPAs then it's definitely a must drink. I don't think I'll buy it again but I wanted to try it since I really like Stone.O-Trap;1330752 wrote:^ What this guy said.

I have never been a big IPA person until I ditched Keystone for a while. The hoppiness really grew on me. Now I love me some hops.Raw Dawgin' it;1331078 wrote:Not really, just not too fond of IPAs.

Yesterday I bottled a pale ale I brewed, looking forward to drinking it next week. Drank a small cup of it and it came out really good.
