That's awesome. The Giant Eagle near me growing up in Berea did not have that AT all.O-Trap;1307705 wrote:Much has changed in the last year or so. Ever since they did the redesign there, they've had a quality beer selection and a craft brew professional who, in my opinion, seems to know his stuff. They were having a beer tasting of the new Oskar Blues beers they're carrying when I was there.
AND they're going to have taps very soon, and after the initial choices, he'll be deciding what will be on tap. I'm pretty STOKED!

It has a strong honey taste and aroma. If he enjoys the sweetness of honey I think he'll enjoy it.
Having always been a generally large person and having eaten a big dinner, I never even lost my equilibrium. The four beers were from about 6 pm to 2 am. Shots went from 2 am to 4:30 am, so it was all spread out a little bit.
Yeah, I used to never go. The first time I bought beer there, I had gone in for something else and just noticed the beer section as I was about to pass it.Commander of Awesome;1307712 wrote:That's awesome. The Giant Eagle near me growing up in Berea did not have that AT all.

I'm still yet to touch the bombers I bought over the weekend, have 4 Fat Tires, and 2 Southern Tier Harvest Ales. Definitely anxious to get into those, b/c my days of drinking are coming to an end!
(I quit drinking during basketball season)

So I can't believe it's taken me this long to find out but the guys who run Beer Advocate are gigantic douchebags. Like, tremendously uncool. I'll no longer be using their site for reviews and will likely use Ratebeer which is arguably better anyway.

Most of the websites I go to that discuss craft beer, most of the people say they can't stand the guys from beer advocate.

Dick thing to do, but their site is still better. I'll continue to use them and their forums.I Wear Pants;1307881 wrote:So I can't believe it's taken me this long to find out but the guys who run Beer Advocate are gigantic douchebags. I can't really back up the claim but I've also heard they artificially boost the ratings for breweries they like and/or breweries that are willing to play ball with them (free shit, etc.). I don't really use their site anyways so I can't really speak too much about it. Could all be bullshit but I tend to believe it.

They just have the best website around IMO for craft beer. RateBeer's site is like a geo cities and almost unusable IMO.

I've been checking nonstop to see it it's here (hopefully he sent it out already). Part of me wants to hang on to it for a bit but I'll most likely drink it the day it comes.Mooney44Cards;1307585 wrote: Also, I'm jealous at whoever said they were getting some Bourbon County Stout (BORIS?)

Drinking Broo Doo tonight, by Three Floyds.
Very good.....sweet, citrusy, nice hop aroma.
If you spot one anywhere, grab it...as 3F's seasonals usually disappear pretty quickly. It's got a pink label with a troll doll on it, can't miss it!

Unless you get multiple bottles, I'd honestly let it settle for at least a day before drinking. Shipping shakes it all up and could disturb the taste.BORIStheCrusher;1308183 wrote:I've been checking nonstop to see it it's here (hopefully he sent it out already). Giving the O'Fallon Pumpkin a second go-round tonight. Much better tonight than it was yesterday.

Never had pumpking. Best Pumpkin beer I can get is Punkin, which sucks.
Cried in my lucky 13asterd tonight.
