Ever since I had a Pumking, I've been a huge fan of Southern Tier. Haven't had the IPA yet. Any good?

Agreed on all counts.

I don't know how, but somehow, this is less gay than when you tried out "redonkulous."

Makes no sense, I know.

Aw, don't drink it drunk. You gotta be able to taste it!

Pretty good!!! If you like smoked beers, this one does not disappoint!! Poured from a 22 oz bottle into a pint glass. Hazy amber/reddish color, aroma of smoked beer and bready and caramel malts.

Taste is good. The smokiness has a meat or fish quality about it like so many of the better smoked beers. The smokiness is most apparent before the beer warms up. Still a good smoky beer but the bready malts and caramel malts become more prominent, closer to room temp.

Mouthfeel is fairly rich. not much alcohol presence for a beer so high in abv.

Overall, pretty rich and tasty. Would go great with cheese and snack foods.
I see what you did there, would you also rate it a 3.88 out of 5??

Had a couple of Inversion IPA from Deschutes while watching the debate. Meh they were solid, nothing I'd be hankering to have again. Much rather have Torpedo or Stone IPA.

You noticed that too, huh? Nothing against ETB, but I called shenanigans at "malts" in the second line.

Not gonna lie... Real disappointed in myself. As I went for the southern tier, I'm like, "go for a single magic hat and go to bed." Wish I would have. Both beers were amazing, but I give the nod to the first beer I had.

Had a couple of wheat beers yesterday from Star Hill and Flying Dog. Big fan of Flying Dog.

Also tried my buddies home brew - A honey amber ale which was good and really fucking strong ha.

Seriously, those freaking beers have me torn the fuck up! Man, they were delicious, but I'm going to learn my lesson, and only drink ONE next time, and save another to savor.

The biggest distinction between a bomber and a growler is that a bomber is about a standard wine bottle size (750 mL), while a growler holds a half gallon
A bomber is 22 oz although 750ml bottles are very common too, mostly the wine shaped bottles many Belgian beers come in. Sorry, the beer snob in me just came out. :D

Sorry, Didn't see your question. (some of us have jobs and can't play on a BB all day...lol) I'd say we will be there around 11am-ish. Need to double check with The Wife though as it could be a little sooner or a little later. My/our shifts has changed so I'm an early riser now. I believe they are having Kegs and Eggs early around 8ish, but don't think I'll be down there that early.

In my house, if momma ain't happy I probably did something she didn't like, but that made me happy. :D

But in my house, that includes having four beers in an evening.

Having the HIPA, IPA on Tour, Magic Hat. It's good, will only have ONE tonight. Still feel like shit from drinking those two bombers last night. This isn't my favorite IPA ever. Goose Island still the best for my taste buds.

Ok, I lied. Couldn't stop at one. Having the Ourtoberfest now, Magic Hat. Compared to the IPA, this is very smooth.
