My wife's client told me I needed to try that. I might find two bottles and keep one until next year after reading this.O-Trap;1283549 wrote:On a separate note, a buddy of mine just brought over a couple Brooklyn Monster Ales he's been aging for about a year.
Tasted COMPLETELY different from one you drink just after buying it ... and for the better!

I was surprised at how different it was. I second your wife's client.sherm03;1283569 wrote:My wife's client told me I needed to try that. I might find two bottles and keep one until next year after reading this.

Haven't had a beer in a week, was sick as hell for a few days then had surgery two days ago. Apparently I'm not supposed to drink alcohol while taking Vicodin but I could really use one tonight. Think I have some good stuff in the back of the fridge that's been there a while that I need to drink up.

Have you ever had Brooklyn's Post Road? That's the other one this guy told me to try.O-Trap;1283570 wrote:I was surprised at how different it was. I second your wife's client.

Can only get draft in Philly. They don't send bottles there.Sonofanump;1283542 wrote:Where do you get them from? You must have a source since they are only in Phily or NorCal correct?

Found a Brooklyn Post Road Pumpkin Ale.
Not very impressed. Pumking is much better tasting, IMO.

Always liked Post Road, and for the price comparison its pretty good to Pumpking IMO.
Having a SA Harvest Pumpkin right now, actually pretty impressed. Doesn't have much in the aroma category, but taste is pretty good.

Had a SA Harvest earlier tonight. I got some nice smoke flavor from it the other night that I haven't been able to duplicate the same again. Over all a decent beer.

Dogfish Head Pumpkin at the bar near campus the other day was phenominal with cinnamon sprinkled in it. Would highly suggest trying it that way.

Didn't get a smoke flavor, but did get pumpkin, yams, and brown sugar. Overall very well done with a bunch of subtle flavors.Curly J;1284079 wrote:Had a SA Harvest earlier tonight. Anyone know of any beers I should try in Atlanta that wouldn't be readily available in the midwest (i.e. Chicago)? Traveling to ATL Tuesday through Thursday this week and if there's a good local brew that should be had I'd love to check it out.

Sweetwater is down there I believe. I'm not a huge fan, but you might like them more than me.

Having a Lagunitas Maximus in my new Snifter glass while watching Breaking Bad. First Lagunitas beer that I've had that I really liked. Above average DIPA for sure. Darker, malty with a fuller body than Pliny.

Like I said I only got it once and have yet to get it again. Maybe it was just one of the spices that tricked my little brain. Just tasted like they might have roasted the pumpkin prior to brewing it. It was nice while it lasted. It makes me want to drink it more to see if it happens again.

Tremont Tap House I'd throw onto the list. Awesome bar, anytime I go home I try and make it there.
