On another note, what is everyone's favorite pumpkin beer? Saw they had a bunch and want to try one. Looking for one that is as sweet/not bitter as possible. Reps for all suggestions.

Also tonight I picked up Stone 16th Ani, couldn't wait on that one. It was great. Similar with the citrus taste as their Cail-Bel (however the fuck its spelled) but thicker and heavier. Very good IMO and worth a try if you come across it.
Also picked up a 2010 Widmer Barrel Aged Brrrbon and Kill Devil for my stash today. Little disappoint to see only in the low 80s on BeerAdvocate, but hoping I like them despite the scores.

I know I've liked a few in the low or mid 80s on there. I wouldn't get too worried about it.Commander of Awesome;1256719 wrote:Also tonight I picked up Stone 16th Ani, couldn't wait on that one. ST Pumpking is probably my favorite, although I picked up some of the Weyerbacher Imperial Pumpkin and that was pretty good also.
Opened up a bomber of Three Floyd's Moloko Milk Stout last night. WOW, was that good. Really pissed I didn't pick up more vwhen I was there.

Anybody heard of O'Connors Brewing in Norfolk, VA? Had their Red Nun (Irish Red) and Green Can (IPA) this past weekend...maybe the tastiest Red I've ever had, their IPA was so-so.

If you were "Lukcy" enough to find a bottle of it. I believe I still have my Greg Koch autographed bottle. Had 3, drank one, gave that loser that doesn't chime in on this thread anymore, aka Justin, one and hanging on to the last one.

Group of friends tried to rope me into buying beer for a dinner tomorrow night. Everyone is in charge of bringing something, one person a salad etc... They know I'm into beer, so they say, "COA, why don't you bring the beer?" LMAO, I let them know I'm not supplying beer for 4 ppl when someone is just bringing a salad. I'd pay $20+ easily while some girl gets away for $4 at Trader Joes? SMH at people sometimes.

The Molson or the Bastard???
Kidding. I'm pretty sure it will age okay as it is a blend of three Bastards that can take some age in them. We'll see.
BTW my FB page said I should recommend some friends for you. I figure you are on your own as you wouldn't like who I'd recommend.

Sounds good to me. I'll let you know about next weekend. I'm going to the Ohio State game on Saturday so maybe before or after it depending on the time. We can work it out though.Curly J;1256664 wrote:Lol. I forgot about that conversation. Cider can be some good stuff, especially on a hot day. Nice thirst quencher that is low in ABV in most occasions. I'm manly enough to admit I like it when I'm wear my granny panties.
Weekends are wide open for me and most evenings are now that my shift has changed. I might even buy you a couple to try that are on the pricy side, incase you don't like them or not sure about spending that kinda money on an unknown beer/cider.
I'm all about sharing when I comes to good sudsy stuff of the alcohol type.
Damn it, didn't clarify that I would only rep good suggestions.Commander of Awesome;1256716 wrote:Suggestion: Grow a pair.

Ciders are one of the things where I don't think I'll buy again simply because they're really, really fucking easy to make so if I want some I'll just do a batch. Then wait two months until it's done and I no longer want it and pass that shit out at a party in an attempt to get everyone drunk and keep them away from the good beer.

On an unrelated note my wife was nice enough to show up with a 6 pack of Smuttynose Finestkind for me so I'm working on that now.

Empty house for me tonight, to celebrate I picked a bottle of Ovila Saison (Had a hankering for a saison) and 2 Storm Kings. Also while there picked up a Oak Jacked Imperial Pumpkin Ale which I'll save for later in the season.

On to the storm king. Haven't had this in a while. Its still delicious. If I didn't buy the two cold (lol I can buy single beers here, its great) I would stash them and try them next yr.
