I'm bringing Sam Smith Taddy Porter to an Olympic party tomorrow. I know they will have SS oatmeal stout, pale ale & nut brown ale there also.

Conway's Irish Ale tonight. No idea how or why but I found some in my closet. Chilling right now. This should be interesting.

Had Weyerbacher Whiskey Barrel Aged Imperial Brown Ale last night. It was awesome. Monk's Tripel by Abbey was also a highlight of the evening.

I been working trying Goose Land Beer, every time I go to Chicago I pick up a six pack or two of the different beers.

Goose Island makes some decent stuff, wish they wouldn't have sold to Inbev though.Belly35;1235339 wrote:I been working trying Goose Land Beer, every time I go to Chicago I pick up a six pack or two of the different beers.

I concur...and that's why I don't drink them anymore. (Not that I ever drank a lot of them in the past years)I Wear Pants;1235436 wrote:Goose Island makes some decent stuff, wish they wouldn't have sold to Inbev though.

It's all over the place, you don't need to pick up Goose Island in Chicago. You need to pick up Three Floyds over there.

The Alphadog was light on the taste. It was ok, but nothing special, wouldn't buy it again. First Golden Monkey on the way....

Started with Brooklyn East India Pale Ale. Shared this with The Wife as we were waiting for some beers to chill. Moved on to a couple of Summer Shandys. Went back to the Brooklyn and it just tasted weird. Ended up finishing the night with a couple of Perpetuals.
I've always liked the Brooklyn IPA in the past, but I've found as of late if you have something flavorful before one the Brooklyn changes flavor and tastes weak. Same thing happened when I had some Two Hearted before it the other night. Seems like this has become a drink this beer only type of beer or drink it first.

But while at the store, I remembered to get some photographic proof of something I mentioned about a month ago...

JAFB Wooster Brewery opened today. Trying to convince the wife to go down with me to try a Wooster Paver IPA.

I am def not a beer snob....I think most of the fancy smancy shit tastes terrible, but I am proud to say that I drank a St bernardus abt 12 last weekend.

JAFB trip complete. Had the Wooster Paved IPA, Wayne County Cream Ale, and All Wooster New Stout. (5.2, 5.7, and 6.4 respectively). Damn good, fresh stuff. Pictures below are the cream ale, and IPA with my wife in the background, and the stout all by itself.
