Even with the drama outside of this thread between posters...this thread has managed to remain free of douchebaggery for 3,200+ posts. Cheers to that!

thanks for the suggestions. Have you been to 3Floyds? I've enjoyed everything I've had from them, but is the brewpub worth the time on the way out? Doesn't look like it would be too far out of the way coming from Ohio.gorocks99;1229911 wrote:Try to get to Revolution Brewing in Chicago - probably the best brewpub in the city. Goose Island has a few brewpubs too, but they're not so much local any more. Also, Half Acre is good but a visit to the brewery would probably be pretty boring. It's really just a warehouse and a room to buy growlers.

Grabbed a DFH 60 Minute, 90 Minute, Burton Baton, Newcastle Summer Ale, 2 Victory Hop Devils and a 4-pack of LEM today.

Let me know what you thought of the Newcastle Summer Ale. Had it a couple weeks ago and was not impressed. Seemed like a watered down version of their Brown Ale. The others though are all very nice!!

Yeah, I've had all of the others and you're right....they are very good. I think I saw someone post that they were drinking some Newcastle during Euro and thought I'd give it a try.

In this thread, 'GFY' stands for 'Go Find Yuengling'.

Grabbed my empty growler and headed over to Buckeye Lake Brewery. Had it filled with their stout this time, which I hadn't really tasted yet.
It reminds me of a cafe stout. I liked it. It was GREAT for the price, and I will buy it again, but there are PLENTY better stouts out there.

I'll post that in this thread on shitty posts as long as you'll have my back if I get an infraction from a different Mod.
The alternative is I get COA to fight my battle for me in the basement when I complain about said infraction. That way I'm covered either way...
Just kiddin' and I enjoyed the banter down there, but glad it stayed there. In all seriousness, I agree with Killer as this thread has stayed to it's roots...after us beer snobs took it over of course. Like I mentioned to RDI once, it's like this thread is sacred.
Thanks and Cheers to all us drunks!!!

Well unforeseen circumstances have back in Cleveland very briefly this weekend, brutal drive on little sleep was rewarded when I finally arrived at 230 am to a left handed milk stout nitro! First time I've got to try it. Also in fridge are old Rasputin(I will dig into one of those), some tangerine beer? (I'll stay away and same them for big mirg) and some wells banana beer. Almost worth it

I've had 4 in my mini-fridge for months. Just waiting for the right time to have one or four. These cooler temps might be the right time.

Yeah, I've drank some heavier/dark beers even when it's hot but just seems better on a cooler day.

6 of Bells Oarsmen polished off tonight. Wasn't terrible and I wanted something different but it's weak.

Tonight, I knocked out an entire growler of Buckeye Lake Brewing's stout as well as a couple Bud Lights (bought for me) at Papa Boo's in Buckeye Lake.
