The Sam Adams Porch Rocker is pretty damn good, may even be better than Summer Shandy. I haven't decided yet though. Will have to drink more of each to be sure lol.

I'll agree. I like Porch Rocker on occasion, but an not a fan of the Shandy's. Far too much citrus for me.

Brother-in-law just got home for the first time in almost three years yesterday. He brought home some Pliny the Elder, so I'm having that tonight.

Went to a HH after work, had some ok beers. Nothing to write home about, best beer I had on draft, Racer 5 which can had just about anywhere. Evolution Craft Brewery (My first 2) have some work to do. Pretty weak IMO.

So my wife is pretty much a Coors Light girl. She does like Lindemans lambic framboise occasionally but the silver bullet is her go to. Last night she was all excited because she bought a 6 pack of Shock Top Rasberry Wheat!! She's really starting to branch out!!!!

I'm going to be in Philadelphia, NYC and Chicago in August. We have plans to go to Yards Brewing in Philly and then to Brooklyn Brewery. Any other suggestions of breweries/brewpubs/bars to go to in Philly/NYC? Trying to hit 3Floyds on my way to Chicago, any other places I should hit while there?

Started off the night with Two Hearted then switched to Perpetual IPA. The Perpetual just tasted bitter after the Two Hearted.

Had one of those on tap last night as well, decent. I think I was drinking one from an old tap or keg though. Tasted a little flat.

I had the Casteel Triple awhile ago, and I don't recall the experience, other than I didn't want to buy a second.

Try to get to Revolution Brewing in Chicago - probably the best brewpub in the city. Goose Island has a few brewpubs too, but they're not so much local any more. Also, Half Acre is good but a visit to the brewery would probably be pretty boring.
