Little Kings so far tonight...FTW!!!
Has anyone had the Drew Estates Java Mint? I am curious, not a big fan of infused cigars, but I like the Drew Estate sticks I have had, this one intrigues me.

Nice. I'm doing a Perdomo Champagne Reserve 10th Anniversary tonight with some Maker's Mark. Remembering why I love Perdomo. Nicaraguans FTW!Curly J;1225736 wrote:And you don't wanna. EDIT: and you won't have one Otrap because I misspelled it. It's Caramelo Joe.

Tried the Java. Wasn't a fan, personally, but wouldn't call it a chick cigar (unlike most infused cigars).THE4RINGZ;1225742 wrote:Has anyone had the Drew Estates Java Mint? I am curious, not a big fan of infused cigars, but I like the Drew Estate sticks I have had, this one intrigues me.
Sans Gurkha's cognac curing process, I can't say I enjoy infusing flavors into cigars, and I don't really even think you can call what Gurkha does 'infusing' anyway.

Oh and I should say that my first attempt at grabbing my Hop Devil was weird. Grabbed it, poured it, tasted it, and it was more like cider than beer beer. I thought WTF ???. Ended up I looked at the Victory and grabbed a Ginger Beer and poured it into my glass.
Actually I've been done with the Little Kings a lot earlier and have had a few Hop Devils by now. Working toward the DFH Palo Santo to finish the night.

Had a 6th glass tonight by blvd. That I believe was the first quad I've had and it was delicious. Had a DC Brau Belgan pale later which was solid. Still have a few Le Freaks and the other 3 6th glass beers, perhaps tomorrow.

Opened another sixth glass, this beer is pretty damn good. I don't have much experience with Quads, but I'm a huge of this. Anyone got any other quads they recomend?

Tasted this Sam Adams Porch Rocker yesterday, not bad at all. Shandies are usually too sweet for me but this had a nice tartness and lemon zest. Pretty good on a hot day!

Busted open my last bottle of this stuff

It said drink before July, now I know why. The flavor has changed quite a bit. It almost has a sour flavor now, which I'm kinda digging. Much of the body/malts have disappeared, but you can still smell it on the nose. Weird. It was still worth the purchase to try it then and now.

Always been curious to try that, steep price tag here though. Usually over $30 for a bottle.

I did pickup some special beers this past weekend. Founders Devil Dancer and Frangelic Mountain Brown. Looks like the Devil Dancer is down to 12% as compared to 13% in the past, so it might be on the shelves out there in Ohio. I've never had the Frangelic Mountain before.

Damn I've been trying to find the devil dancer here to no avail. Looking forward to your thoughts on this.

Same here, its about $12 a bomber round here. I'd imagine it'd be a little cheaper in Ohio.bigdaddy2003;1226585 wrote:The Hoppin' Frog Oatmeal Imperial Stout is one that I have wanted to try for a while but I havent because of the price.

How do people feel about head on a beer?
I Wear Pants picture made me think of this, but if someone served me a beer with that much head I'd send it back. On the flip side my old boss (who's irish) sent back a beer for not having enough head. I prefer a smaller one and honestly don't mind if there isn't one.

Some of it has to do with the style of beer. A belgian IPA/Trippel typically is very heady, where an Imperial Stout tends to have less head. Shitty beer like Bud Light won't have much of a head.
I prefer some head, as its supposed to release the proper flavors and aromas of the beer. Too much though and its a shitty pour/you're not getting your money's worth.

The one I pictured is the Barrel Aged version so it was more than that.Commander of Awesome;1226586 wrote:Same here, its about $12 a bomber round here. I'd imagine it'd be a little cheaper in Ohio.
Edit: And those aren't my photos I grabbed them off the internet, just like to put a picture with the beer sometimes.
