unfortunately, 2002 probably had 2 of the best wcal teams ever - Dalton had a great shot of making it to the title game had the smithies not been even better that yr.

10-game season. 5 shutouts. One opponent scores 28. So the remaining 4 teams scored more than 0 each, but only 9 combined? What, did three of them safety the Bears and the fourth kick a fieldgoal?

Congratulations to Norwayne for the outstanding play off run resulting in the DIV State Championship. It will be a long time before people stop talking about the final game! Congrats also to the WCAL.

Congrats Norwayne on an amazing season....one that will never be forgotten!
The WCAL is a great conference and is very deserving of a state championship trophy....Now if you would've said that Norwayne would be the first in the conference to win one, I would've disagreed....this just shows that the league is even more competitive now and new traditions are being made (Hillsdale/Norwayne).

And no worries. I enjoyed the back and forth with everyone this season. Met some stand-up guys (OQB, thePITman, 4RINGZ, GoFalcons, Dr. KnOiTaLl (or however you spell that nightmare of a name), and oldsmithie), and it was a great ride seeing one of the champs from this league bring some recognition back to the WCAL!
Looking forward to next year!

In hindsight, how sad is it that Hillsdale lost one game....to a state champion and didn't even get in the playoffs!!!
