I've come to the realization that I would gladly disembowel all of you with a rusted box cutter for just 2 bites of a chocolate payday.

Good luck to all teams this evening!!!!!!!

You should try that KASHI cereal. It's cardboard with texture! LOL

I went to my first Jr High Football game last night in 6 or 7 years!!!!....Made the drive to Dalton for a 7TH grade championship game.....Both teams came in unbeaten and Norwayne won.. Despite the rain and mud it was a good game......I had to laugh though it was a feeling of a high school chapionship game!!!!!....I talked to some parents that said they were nervous and said that their sons didnt sleep at all the night before......This is great to see and hear.....I love a football player that at age 12 to 13 feels that way!!!!!....both teams have alot of talent and it will be exciting to see these guys move up through the ranks!!!.....Boy does Norwayne's 8th grade have some big boys.....dont know the exacts, but i swear their O Line averages 6'2 230!!!!!.....Does anybody know about the rest of the WCAL Jr High???.... I know this is more about High School Football, but this is a nice change.....I get tired of reading about "who hates who"...or which Coach should get fired or should get the "Golden Key to the City".......

Good luck all WCAL teams!!!!!!!

Any kid playing in a championship game should feel nervous regardless of what level they are playing at.

Saw Chippewas 7th grade last night, looked like some varsity sized boys on the field. Large kids ,if they keep growing they will be huge.

I was at those games too last night bobcat14....I knew 4 of the Norwayne boys from the baseball team I help coach and the dalton qb is my brother-in-law.

I have seen dalton play Smithville, Norwayne, Rittman, and Hillsdale....all have pretty good size for a jr high team. Should have some good football games in the coming years if those boys continue to grow and get better.

Don't you all just love this weather?! :p Just reminds me of the good 'ol days, lining up across from the opponent in the slop and sludge. Looking forward to some football tonight!

All you guys watching the JrHigh action-
sounds like Norwayne is the 7th grade champ, anybody know who won the 8th grade div?

I hear we may have 20mph sustained winds this evening, depending on the directional orientation of the field, it could make for some crazy plays in the kicking and passing games. Years ago, I saw a kid punt into high wind and the ball actually ended up about 10 yards behind the point he kicked it from. Needless to say, that was the last into the wind punt that night.

Bears play Chippewa tonight...and I SWEAR it rains this week EVERY year.

Waynedale Jr High won the 8th grade title compiling a 16-0 Jr High record. Nice core group of athletic kids there.... who know what the future holds in the WCAL!

EDIT: I heard Chippewa came into the game undefeated in league play, but perhaps with 1 loss on the year. So maybe the WCAL is going to be a roller coaster for a few years!!! Get some balance back.

Man I love having Hillsdale in the WCAL. It is closer to my home than NW, Norwayne and Chippewa. They are competitive in most sports and have nice facilities. A perfect fit as they straddle the Wayne/Ashland border. Great to have the Falcons as part of the league!!!!!!!!!!!

Hoping Da Bears can get one tonight.

Here's to an injury free fun night of football for all area schools.

I got to thinking about Schrock retireing, when he goes, I think we lose most of the staff with him. Hardman and Saris have been with him from day one and Sayre has about 30 years also. It will be interesting to see what happens at the end of this season. I certainly hope the Boosters and the Administration in Smithville FINALLY name the Stadium after him!!!!!!! HINT HINT.

That's the key = have seen a lot of good jr high players fade away once everyone caught up with them development -wise in high school.

Didn't go to Norwayne game...post surgery child at home...but was glad to hear we scored one against the 1st team and our jv scored as well.
They left the varsity in until 4th quarter, I heard anyway, guess they do have a bone to pick with us over the last few years....
