Well, I wondered if Norwayne could handle a bigger stronger team and we got our answer tonight. Bobcats had zero first downs in the second half and a total of 15 yards. Under-sized running game and average passing game will not go far in the D-IV playoffs.

Congrats to the Smithies. Don't want to take anything away from them but you just have to wonder how good this Bobcat team really was? The WCAL is so weak this year that we really didn't know what they had until tonight. Smithville made no secrets about what they were going to do on offense and Norwayne was unable to stop them even when they sold out on the run.

Wow. What can I say. The Smithies wanted it more. They were jacked up and they deserve all of the credit. The Norwayne coaches made no adjustments on defense at all. They stayed with a 4 man front even though they were gettin blown off the ball. Norwayne could not run the ball. With all of that being said we still couldve won the game. We dropped a long pass inside the 20 and Wallace fumbled on the Smithie 35 on what would have been a first down run. There was about 4 minutes left at that time. Congratulation to the Smithies. They played inspired ball

Sounds like a couple exciting games tonight! Dalton won 12-10. Moyer got injured very early in the game....score was 7-6 chipps at half. Chipps kicked a field goal in the second half (have no idea how it made it over the uprights). Then Dalton Freshman Jeff Miller takes the kickoff to the house and the Dogs held on for the win!

1. Veteran coaching was present tonight... Coach Schrock and his entire staff had those boys prepared to play the biggest game of their life and they were on a mission. To see every person on that sideline giving Schrock hugs was a special moment for the Smithie football program.

2. I was a little upset at the way the bobcats handled themselves...but the coach is from Northwest and that is exactly how they are so not surprised.

3. #22 the classless player who posted the video that was such a hot topic all week long really let his teammates, school, and community down. He did set out the first quarter for that video, but as soon as he came in his mouth opened up and didn't shut....got an unsportsmanlike penalty and coach ripped him a new one and he literally set on the bench......I would have told him at halftime to shower and get your street clothes on you are done....but they put him right back in there in the 3rd qtr. Then I didn't see him shake hands at the end. If I am a senior, I would tell him to turn his pads in tonight....that is unacceptable. Glad he is their problem and not mine.

4. After seeing both Hillsdale and Norwayne play now....next week should be a good game but I think I know the outcome already.

I think I mentioned this earlier in the year. When Norwayne is the top dog in the WCAL you know the league is down. This smithville team is solid but not like some the other Smithville squads.

Like I said last night....

"bottom feeder for years, win 8 games, and now they are world beaters."

Get back to reality or they will be one and done...especially in region 13.

Yeah. They did one time.

Dalton wins by 2.
Smithville by 5.
Waynedale by 3 in OT.
Hillsdale by 47.
