I'm with 1486wd on this. It's good to see some common sense on here. It's time to move on. The kid is 5' 6" and 145 lbs and unless Smithville is planning on coming out and throwing 20 times, what difference does he make in this game? He's a DB. He doesn't play on the offense. What is Smithville going to do? Target him and risk getting thrown out of the most important game they've played in years? Smithvilles coaches would be better off downplaying it with the players and getting them focused on execution.

Go Falcons - from what I hear about this kid, I wouldn't put it past him. He's the odd man out in this group. It's a shame he makes the rest of the team look bad.

Amen Bobcat14. The fact is many of these boys on these two teams are good friends. Some of them live right beside each other. They go out together. They go to church together. In some cases I think they date each others sisters. Please dont let this kid dictate how this game is played. These are two fine football teams with great athletes. This episode is overshadowing what should be an outstanding Ohio, WCAL football game. These kind of games are what makes WCAL football so great. It feels like some of the posters on here have an axe to grind. I agree the kid should be suspended. By all means please do so. Norwayne has other kids that can play that spot and even if they don,t ...so what. Two contrasting styles. The old coach against the young buck. Crappy weather. How could this be any better. Please go and enjoy. Celebrate this young men and pray for good health for both teams. Go Cats!

I actually have to side with 1486wd as well. Zero tolerance? Of what? Making himself out to be an Internet punchline among Wayne County for years to come?

He did something stupid, but acting like there should be a zero-tolerance policy on pretending to be a thug or swearing in a Facebook video is asinine. The coaches should crack his nuts for it every practice, and he should have extra work after practice. That should be the end of it.

Its good everyones administration would suspend this young man for what he did (which was very stupid) But last year when a member of a coaching staff acted the way he did on the internet nothing was done

Having seen the video, I have two comments in addition to those already made.

1. I wouldn't want to be the staff member that was supposed to have been in charge of that room.

2. The lack of any kind of reaction by the kid in the background. Either he felt intimidated or he just didn't give a hoot about what was going on.

I think the posters on here are alot more up in arms about the video than the Smithie players, at least the ones I have been around are not saying much about it.

Nice write up in The Daily Record on the Game tonight.....

Beast needs to go on record and say....after much...MUCH thought.....as much as I would LOVE to see an upset tonight in Smithville, I have to cheer this machine Norwayne has built on to a win over the Smithies. I cannot let the actions of one silly boy affect my feeling towards Smithville football. I WANT to see the colossal week 10 battle of undefeateds. However...if Smithville wins, they may be vaulted into the playoffs! Hope there is an injury free, well played game tonight. I'll look forward to the updates!
