Out of curiousity, I went to a "Democrats" chat room. The first complete sentence I see is a big bold font that typed out (from memory, not verbatim) "Somewhere out there there will be a gutsy and courageous news show that will have the intuition to hire Keith Olbermann!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! (there was that many "!") And when they do, FOX will be history!"

And then there was several people after that who agreed with that person. I just smiled to myself and kept on reading for a few minutes. Then I realized that I'm a political fossil in the democrat world. I wonder when my species of democrat will be extinct?

Fox News makes a much better effort to present the opposition viewpoint in their panel discussion shows than MSNBC or CNN, and it's not even close, imo. I've rarely seen either of those networks make an effort to have a conservative voice when they are discussing issues. CNN USED to do this all the time, but stopped several years ago. I have no idea why. Crossfire was an excellent show when they balanced the pundits on either side.

Please note the reference to the Pew study that showed Fox News being right down the middle on its coverage of Obama/McCain the last six weeks.

In the right place, Olbermann would win by a landslide just by the letter at the end of his name. Consider this folks: people in San Francisco and Las Vegas re-elected Nancy Pelosi and Harry Reid by a considerable margin. My company is head quartered in Pelosi's district. People out there think she is a moderate.

Connecticut is an interesting state. The state is home to many industries which are generally conservative by nature: insurance and the financial industry. A large portion of the people in the state white collar workers, yet it is a very blue state. A buddy of mine from the area always jokes he is the only conservative he has ever known from there.
