The place will be packed and rocking. I look for OSU to step up in this game. Purdue is also coming off a couple of losses. Not playing their best after being on a roll.
Well, I based my prediction on what recent history says, in addition to the chip that will inevitably be on Purdue's shoulder as the Boilermakers head into their toughest game of the season. This is their chance to show the nation that, with or without Robbie Hummel, they are a serious contender to reach Houston.
Recent history.
2010: OSU 72 @ Illinois 53
2008: OSU 74 @ Illinois 58
2007: OSU 62 @ Illinois 44
OSU under Matta at Champaign is as dependable as a John Starks meltdown.
On the other hand, Purdue at the Schott in Columbus is not.
2010: Purdue 60 @ OSU 57
And in both 2009 and 2008, Purdue took the Buckeyes to overtime in Columbus. Though they lost both, the Charging Gene Keadies proved their mettle on the road against arguably the toughest Big Ten team of the past five seasons. Add that past confidence to this current Purdue team's resolve and determination, and you have an upset waiting to happen. If you can call it an upset.
