Just a quick question for those that carry...do you carry at all times? Or just keep it in the car? Do you have a strap harness (like police detectives wear) under your shirt? I just wonder how people actually go about it.

Or you just gave up your position and are now being fired at. Making a sound to "scare" someone away never really made much sense to me. As for your carry question (I don't) I think most people pocket carry with a smaller gun, or on their waist.

Thats a good point, I didn't really look at it like that. What would you suggest? A handgun in a lockbox in the bedroom? That was another option I am considering.

I think a shotgun is a great (if not the best) home defense weapon. I just meant that there is no need to pump it to scare someone.

I think most that carry wear a holster inside the waistband. At least most people I know that carry do.
