As for the cussing, yeah it is probably too excessive and breaks rule #3 but like I said in another thread I am not a huge fan of censorship. I have the option of sending out a forum-wide warning on the use of language but I don't feel the need to do it quite yet.

That's kinda my take on it as well. Like someone said on another thread (maybe you, I can't remember) it is a litmus test of sorts. It helps weed out the posters you tend to take seriously or not.

As for Peake, I have no problem with him. It might be good for him to realize that if he's upset at what he considers to be the immaturity of others, there's probably better ways to handle things than by going off on his own immature rant, as that really accomplished nothing besides creating a new storm.

As for Chesapeake, you can say he kissed people's asses, but I always got the feeling that he genuinely just wanted to do what he was asked to do in a fair manner. Sure, sometimes he ran straight to JJ on "the other site," but I think he is a good, moral man, and I have respect for that.

I agree 100%. You guys can rip me all you want but the profanity on here is out of control. If I was a new person looking for an internet board to talk about sports and misc and seen all the cursing I honestly wouldn't come back. I have no intentions of ever leaving here but if we want this thing to grow bigger than JJ's ever was we need to draw a line somewhere. I have been guilty of profanity on here before but never to the extent that has been seen on here of late. Way too many personal attacks going on.

i'm trying to self police my swearing, but i fail. i also am really curtailing the F-bomb in my everyday vocab. I hope it's showing here, but I don't care either way. I don't cuss more on here because I can, I do it because I don't have to police myself and wonder if I should type crap like inhale instead of suck or BS like that.
