Excellent news. Kalis and Dodson are huuuuuuge pickups if OSU can hang on until NSD. Still wondering if Davidson is on the radar. That would make an excellent OL class.

The bank says we are about to land a huge 4 star commit (gotta expect Dodson) Also Vrabel is in the building for the presser. OSU will be hiring a defensive coach, but I think Vrabel still has some years in the NFL left and I think they would hire someone with experience but who knows....

Some bad news Dodson picks Wisky. Was very surprised to see this thought he was a Buck and was just waiting for the offer.

Won't be the last recruiting disappointment we'll have in the next year.

Evidently he told OSU he was going to pick Wiscy so they offered and didn't change his mind. This is why some kids you have to offer when everyone else does even if they still need that ACT score. He was a buckeye lock before they pulled that on him.

Agreed. Don't understand that recruiting practice. Dumb.

Of course, what I could see is Fickell making a Tressel type system with Bollman being the final say, but having the offensive staff submit plays to him during the game. Tressel had multiple guys give him plays each down and he would then select from that or make his own call.

Well, according to today's Dispatch, Coach Bollman will be calling the plays. No mention of anyone else being involved.

2011 recruit Ejuan Price (LB) has asked for a release from his LOI. He should know Friday. Not sure what his plans are.

That sucks, especially since we didn't offer guys like Bolden and Ringer because we are stacked up at LB. SMH.

I assume Pitt. He was waffling towards NSD last year. If i had to guess one to deflect, it would have been him. Understandable, though.

Not a huge loss. A 5.5 3*. But to lose a 2011 recruit at this stage sucks. At least you gained a scholly for next year.

That's why it may be beneficial to get it next year.

I think. Not sure how the scholly loss works. I guess I was thinking if you lost 5 per year and had 25 available, you could only take 20. If you had 18 available, you could only take 13.

Is that right?

Recruiting affects starting to be felt...
JaQuay Williams is not a Buckeye. Sandy Greek (GA) WR JaQuay Williams made his announcement yesterday and the lifelong Buckeye fan chose Auburn over OSU. Yes, you read that right, Williams grew up his entire life as a Buckeye fan after growing up in the Pittsburgh area, but chose the Tigers due to their wide receiver coach, proximity to home, and the fact that he didn't feel as comfortable with Ohio State after Jim Tressel resigned.

Jordan Hall has been moved to the WR position. I love the move, he has the versatility to play the slot or take a few snaps behind the QB to mix things up. Also, gets the best athletes on the field at the same time.

I don't love that move at all. Felt like he should have got more touches than he did last year.

Very smart move by the coaching staff. Taking the smaller/quicker Hall and moving him out of the deepest position on offense and putting him into a position that is in extreme need of players.

I'm sure they had this in mind long ago during draytons interview. He'll get the ball, just hopefully enough.

Sure but I thought Hall looked like the best RB at times last year.

Thanks to Herron's insatiable need for fresh tats, it looks like next year will be the Rod Smith and Jamal Berry show next year
