No problem with this thread IMO. If us Buckeye fans don't like it stay out of it, simple as that and this coming from a huge Buckeye fan myself.

The "sec" chant might be the lamest thing in sports. I dont get it. I was at a Tenn vs Florida game a couple years ago, while I was tailgating I heard the "sec" chants, I looked over and it was a group of Vol fans and Gator fans....at a game between SEC opponents. I've never chanted "Big 10" with a Michigan fan. I dont think UCLA and USC fans chant "Pac 10". This shit only happens in the south. I dont know how many times I heard LSU fans tell me that the south would rise again when I was down there a couple years ago. These people need to move on

Yeah, I don't get it, either. You don't see Browns and Steelers fans tailgating saying "AFC AFC AFC".

It's basically riding coattails. If we can't, at least you can. They talk about the SEC winning two straight over OSU. Well, first it was Florida. Then Florida sucked the next year and LSU had a good year and made the game. As far as I care, OSU still made it twice in a row. With the turnover in college football, that is tough. I wouldn't brag if Wisconsin made it the year after the OSU-UF game, it just doesn't make sense.

You do realize it is the team that wins doing those chants? It wasn't Florida fans chanting "SEC" because LSU won. It was LSU fans chanting "SEC" as in, the SEC was more of a challenge than the national championship game. Where do you guys hear losing SEC teams chanting that?

Not really. It is kind of like when a boxer knocks out a sissy in a prelim match and then calls out the name of the champion. Only, in the cases of the OSU title games, the prelim match WAS the title game. Can't fault a team thats looking for a little competition.
