Ya. You're pretty good at contradicting yourself.

Show me where I ever called that cheating...Big difference between open enrollment and being allowed to openly recruit kids with no impunity . I just think certain parochial powers that are basically all star teams from big cities ,but have small overall enrollments should be bumped up a division or two at certain sports.. and its fine with me if a public school that has great success be bumped as well I believe in fairness.. That however is another thread and another topic

I have a few questions about Creek
first are they still doing that midnight madness thing?
secondly I heard a few years ago that they were trying to raise funds for turf,is this true?
Also is Creek still scrimaging Shadyside?

If a kid goes to Steubenville from an outlying district ,he is called a recruit. At all the other local schools the kid is called a transfer ..When I played we didnt have anybody from other schools and we won the state but Ill be glad if more and more students transfer to Steubenville .. I want em all .. I want as many kids from Mingo and Wintersville and 213 area to come to the ville .. If you are an IC guy you would gladly with open arms take any kid from Steubenville and your district does .I had neighbors that sent there kids to Creek schools .. Lets not be disengenuous

No they do not do the midnight madness thing anymore... Have not for a few years.
They were holding a special bingo to raise the money for turf, but since the new school levy passed those plans have been put on hold because they do not want to install turf before the school is built. The funds are in good shape though as far as turf goes, and the money was raised by the boosters.
Yes Creek will still scrimmage Shadyside.

I ask a serious question, is there any truth to the rumors around town that the board is looking to build a new stadium in Mingo behind Hills Elementary after the new school is built and they would prefer to use the turf money toward the new stadium?

I haven't heard that rumor but I'd love to see a new stadium built where the Jr. High is going. It would be great to get Hills, the Jr. High, a new High School and the football stadium all in one place.

As long as Kettlewell Stadium stands, it will be the home of the Redskins. It is one of the bigger stadiums in the valley. The boosters are working toward getting a field house, a new gate, new restrooms, and some other small improvements as well as turf in the future. I love Kettlewell, it is my home.

So will the OC be deleting this one since they usually combine duplicate threads?

Your more than welcome to come over and talk about Creek football, I'm just tired of this Creek vs Big Red crap that always get started and doesn't even matter because we don't play through the regular season. I want a place to only talk about Creek and the teams they are going to play.
