In a deleted post you ranted about how your helmet was the best there was or something and how your senior year it was the last time it was used. You can't even remember the crap that comes out of your mouth can you?

My senior year WAS the last time MY helmet was ever used... I still HAVE it. So No one has used it since then. I am partial to our helmet style and I like it better than all the other combinations we have had. The helmet in my avatar was used through the 1998-99 year and was switched to a white helmet with clear and red arrows and a red facemask in 2000 by Brian Mays. Still not sure what your getting at... If your getting at anything at all other than being a human waste stirrer.

I can tell you this I played after you graduated and I have the same helmet you have in your avatar pic so there is no way that style was last used in the 98 season.

I am not wrong. Look at your helmet... Unless you were a freshman in 2000 you did not use the same style helmet. In 2000 the helmet decals changed and in 2001 the red facemasks went on.

I use to have some old 2000 programs laying around somwhere I'll try to find them and see if they have any pics of the helmets in them, because 2000 was the last year I played at Creek and I have the same helemet as you do, no red face mask and the same style decals.

Why do you want to know? Everything is the same except the three-way scrimmage. East Liverpool has been replaced with a different team.

Well this sucks. Does anyone know if my son takes summer school and passes will he be eligible to play this year. He is so far unless we move back to Youngstown will be again in Indian Creek. He played on last years 9th grade team. He is a big kid. He has played for the Toronto Titian's as there center and long snapper. He played D also. never ever sat the entire game. But he could not get past algebra and got a D. That's the only class he had problems with. I know he would start on D right off the bat at 9th grade. But i want whats good for him. And football is all he got and was a very big tool in keeping on the right path during my high school years. Any information would be helpful.

You'd have to call the school and ask. I don't know what the rules are anymore but I don't think he would be able to play. We had a kid in the same situation going from 8th grade to 9th grade. He had a 0.00 GPA at the end of 8th grade, he must have went to summer school because I remember him being at the freshmen football practices and I remember seeing him in classes but I don't think he was able to play that football season.

Is this an attempt at trolling or a sincere post? It seems fishy for several reasons:reddevil90;785494 wrote:Well this sucks. 1. "He played on last years 9th grade team" then stated, "I know he would start on D right off the bat at 9th grade." did he get held back or what?
2. Supposedly the kid only had issue with Algebra, getting a D. If this is, "the only class he had problems with." then he should still be eligible, even if he got all C's in the other classes, right? According to OHSAA:
3. The second to last sentence is just confusing, "And football is all he got and was a very big tool in keeping on the right path during my high school years."In order to maintain eligibility for grades 9-12, you must be currently enrolled in a member school and have received passing grades in a minimum of five (5) one credit courses, or the equivalent, in the immediately preceding grading period

Big red take a chill pill ok. First my son started out on the 8th grade team. Then we found out he was 2 weeks to old to play on the 8th grade team. So he finished out on the 9th grade team. And yes IC 8th grade voluntarily forfeited the 3 games he played. And man i never said anything before but man you big red fans are something! You know that. Do you even know what troll is? man. It was a legit Question and that is what it is. And yes my son loves football and i know where i would have ended up if i didn't play football. And i was on one of the greatest football teams ever in the Youngstown area. Wow just Wow. now i know why you guys get ragged on. Im not even a huge Indian Creek fan. I cheer for who ever my son plays for. And Indian Creek has a great Football Program.
And ill Explain the last sentence. Football is all he got. Well for one I'm a single father raising 3 kids. in the summer he is alone a lot when i work. So football practise keeps him out of trouble. he eats and lives football. And I'm sure some Indian creek fans know who he is too. Cause it screwed the 8th grade team out of 3 games. and before you say well you should have known. Well i didn't and the coaches didn't till the athletic Directer caught it. It was not anyone's fault cause his birthday was so close anyone would have missed it.

I was actually being sincere in my question because a lot in your post just don't make sense and still don't! Let me ask you a question; what did I do in my post that was so offensive? I simply asked if you were being sincere or not and I stated my reasons as to why it sounded like you were a troll. And yes, I've been on this forum long enough to know a troll! What 3 games did the 8th grade team forfeit?

A lot of my post? what other post. I am from Campbell Ohio. I have only posted a few times if that much on Indian creek.. Offensive is when you call my post a trolling post. is it cause my name. I'm trying to understand. I thought this was a Indian creek post! i WAS ASKING CAUSE YOU HAVE TO PASS LL THE MAJOR COURSES. with a C average. and my son has a D in math. I know if my son does not play football he will follow the course of most kids. And his talent is way to good to not play football. and he has already lost his senior year of eligibility cause of his mom holding him back in Kindergarten. He is not the smartest kid in school. but he is not Dumb. and he has been on the honor roll before but has since slipped this year. And i do not like his choice of friends. So if he does not play football he will more then likely get into trouble when im at work. I want him to use his gift instead of not using it.
Here is the link of that team i was talking about. I have a bunch of the games and high lights from my time then. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=x2ZSg6foRq0

I didn't call your post trolling, I was asking if it was or not! There's a big difference!reddevil90;787395 wrote: I am from Campbell Ohio. This is indeed an Indian Creek thread, but I like to see what's going on with all area schools. I very rarely post on these threads, but I do like hearing about what's going on. Your post just appeared to me as odd, so i thought I'd ask!reddevil90;787395 wrote: I thought this was a Indian creek post!
If that is the case, then it's because of rules that the Indian Creek School District has put in place. As I stated earlier, OHSAA requirements are different. Maybe someone else from the district can chime in on this!reddevil90;787395 wrote: i WAS ASKING CAUSE YOU HAVE TO PASS LL THE MAJOR COURSES. with a C average. and my son has a D in math.
Again, my post wasn't meant to offend you; some things just don't make sense. What were those 3 game the 8th grade team forfeited again? Something else I don't understand, is it even allowed for an 8th grader to play at the high school level, regardless of how old they are? I honestly don't know, but I would think they wouldn't be. I'm pretty sure if it was allowed, Big Red would be sending some of the more talented 8th graders up to the Freshman team as soon as their season ended. (then again, maybe they are and I'm just not aware of it!)reddevil90;787395 wrote: I know if my son does not play football he will follow the course of most kids. Look i told you the situation. He was allowed to play on the 9th grade team because he was 15. And why are you drilling me. the 8th grade team forfeited 3 of the games he played in. the first 3 games. Why are you asking all the questions. Look i asked a question. cause his teachers said he could not play this year with a d in math. man what is the deal. And wow it like being in a Ursuline thread. And you are Wrong about not being allowed to play 9th grade. he had to give up his senior year anyways.

I'm not drilling you. Some of what you said just didn't make sense so I'm asking you about them, that's how a forum works! The Jr. High website doesn't list the first 3 games as losses...http://www.indian-creek.k12.oh.us/icjhs/athletics/football/schedule.htm
And I may be wrong about an 8th grader not being able to play at the high school level, hence why I wrote, "I honestly don't know..." I'll ask around and see what I find out.
Edit:
As it turns out, I was wrong. From the OHSAA website:
Edit 2:High school students (grades 9-12) who turn 19
years of age prior to August 1, 2011, are ineligible
for interscholastic athletics.
Seventh- and eighth-grade students who turn 15
years of age prior to August 1, 2011, are ineligible
for 7th-8th grade athletics but are eligible to participate in high school athletics.
• There are exceptions to this regulation, so please
arrange a meeting with your principal or athletic administrator to review these exceptions.
I guess to answer your original question of, "Does anyone know if my son takes summer school and passes will he be eligible to play this year." the answer would be no. According to the OHSAA Eligibility Guide:
You may not use summer school grades for failing grades received or lack of courses taken in
the final grading period.

Two people you need to contact immediately... John Kuczykowski in the high school guidance office about his "current situation". Next on the list would be athletic director/Math Teacher Joe Dunlevy. Coach Dunlevy can teach a football player to calculate and a calculator to play football

And Football can change a kids life in the future. And As a outsider from the Youngstown area growing up Red Devil. I have to say Creek has a very very good school system and also a great Sports setting for there kids.sonofsam;788085 wrote:reddevil90,

reddevil90 did you ever call the school? If they won't let him play they might still let him practice and be part of the team just not able to play in games.
