Would either MANAZE or SOS confirm that he's not eligible to play due to IC rules of a C average in all classes? Because my understanding of the OHSAA rules, he must have a passing grade in so many classes 5 or 6, and failing just one class wouldn't do it. Also, as soon as the new school year begins, the grades for that first grading period(about a week into the year) can then be used for eligibility. But is this D in one class an IC rule? Just curious!

I am not sure "what the exact rule" is because I never had to worry about it... I do believe that you must maintain a C average but if you get one D in a single class, you have a very limited amount of time to bring that grade to a C or higher or you cannot play. Also a failing grade will not permit you to play... mid-term grades do not count toward eligibility, it must be a trimester.

I don't know what the rules are, that is why I suggest he call the school. I doubt he can play but he can still be part of the team would be my only guess.

I know there was a case in the early 2000's when a player was not allowed to play because of grades, but was allowed to be on the sidelines in street clothes.

Does it pain you that a state championships cannot change my loyalty? My heart is Indian Creek and the question is will you schedule them a year you know they will kick your a** or will you avoid them just like every other team that gets "too good for big bed to play at home and beat".

Does it really pain you to just put up IC's schedule ,which is all I wanted to go forward with . ...In your question you are asserting that we would not schedule you guys when we (KNOW) you will kick our a**............... Oh my thats the spirit .. Oh and what team or teams are you talking about that got to good for us to play at home? are you kiddin me??????? We have 6 state title appearances since 1984 with 3 titles. We didnt just beat pansies to achieve that .....Rip away your comments have zero validity.. You dont even make me upset .. I was just wondering what your schedule looked like . Do you still have Oak Glen on it or I heard you were playing Toronto this year . Dont know how true that is but I think that would be an excellant game for the valley and a good matchup.. Didnt know if it were true

Thick, they play the same crap schedule, along with scrimmages, every year, which is another reason why they never get better.Thinthickbigred;791848 wrote:Does it really pain you to just put up IC's schedule ,which is all I wanted to go forward with . ...In your question you are asserting that we would not schedule you guys when we (KNOW) you will kick our a**............... Now, now SOG we all know that The Creeksters are working just as hard as anybody else in the Buckeye 8. But gee, I do think we play Massillon again, Ursuline, Buchtel. Now I don't expect the Creeksters to schedule these types of teams...but if your trying to say that once the Creeksters get that 4H Blue Ribbon in football, that Big Red won't schedule them. lol Just focus on winning the Buckeye 8 for once.

The schedule was posted on this thread 5 months ago, post #1. But we are taking about Steubenville... Who needs basic reading comprehension when you have football?

So what did you gain besides 2 losses, possibly 3? You think losing is going to help you? Let me inform you a little something about that.... I am an Indian Creek alum and supporter, when i graduated losing was not an option but sometimes you have to hit bottom before you rise back up. You guys haven't hit bottom since the mid 90's... Your due, you gonna accept it or keep posting stats and championships when your forced to schedule teams you can beat to have a good record again?

I didnt look very hard ..my bad .. It looks the exact same almost . I heard IC was picking up Toronto .. I think since they wont play CCHS anymore Toronto would be a perfect fit .. It would be game of the week on WTOV 9 and I think it would be generally an evenly contested battle year in and year out .. I think both programs are about the same caliber . Toronto is getting its field upgraded and its already the second biggest stadium in Jefferson county behind Harding ...Edison dropped T Town a few years ago after Toronto ran them ..

No one sold out... One school just sold a lot of promises ans a lot of rent to get where it is now. Hope the boosters are happy with their investments over the past few years because if I had the means and the money to waste i would sure love to go 0 for Ohio and lose in the first round. I was told I have "no protection" in this thread because I "started crap" but I really don't care anymore... If you guys were half worth it, you would go back to your own thread and leave this one alone and I would stay off your threads... But seeing how that isn't gonna happen... Lets get ready to rumble...

Stir the pot... Hey, why don't you schedule Dover? Get rid of the out of state teams? Why don't you actually PLAY the Ohio teams that are willing to kick your arse or at least give you a good game? How about this... Try holding true to your word and deliver the perks you promise for playing at harding stadium and not just for the out of state teams that provide you points year in and year out? Seriously guys... you gotta do better than this. Buy those OHSAA officals another lunch at the downtown convenient (owned by former Wintersville bandwagoniers) and help them help you make another call. Do you realize how fragile your program is? It revolves around who you can recruit and how many free lunches your wannabes provide. Its actually worth laughing about.
