From Bill Greene :: Ohio Recruiting Analyst for Scout.com

Tresel got up first and told the guys "regarding the rumors about my demise, you aren't getting rid of me that easily"

then he addressed what had gone down----why it required secrecy--and he apologized for keeping the team in the dark.....

then Devier Posey asked to speak and he went up first---apologized for letting the guys down--and cried throughout his talk...

Mike Adams went nexted and also had a difficult time getting through it--as he fought back tears

then was Jordan Whiting---then Solomon Thomas---then Boom Herron(who couldnt look up at people he was so distraught)

last was Terrelle Pryor who apologized to people individually---from Tressel to Coach Sic to the Compliance People and to the entire team---it was a very "genuine" moment and you could have heard a pin drop.....

People were wondering if this would tear the team apart or bind them together....and I can state with 100% certainty that this was another defining moment for this team---and they are bound extremely tight together---as they know they have to lean on their brothers.....

Practice will be interesting---but this team is TIGHT....

Good, hope they learned their lesson and they move on, even though everyone else won't.

I used to cry to when I was younger when I got caught doing something wrong and was punished for it. These punk MFs are just upset because they got caught. I hope they move on as well...move on to somewhere not named OSU. Good Bye.

Good to hear. They can make things right by staying humble, staying away from even the appearance of trouble off the field, being productive on the field, etc. If any decide to leave after this season (as opposed to doing the above-mentioned things), their legacy will suffer.

Give them credit for addressing the team, admitting guilt and apologizing.

it's a start, and they have to remember it's what you do after you aplogize that counts--time will tell

How do these guys fit if they have to miss the first 5 games next year? I think for them and the teams sake they need to all go pro.

They were a year out of high school when this happened and still young kids..... I bet not one of them would do this again and would never think of selling their OSU trophies!

Give them a break, everyone needs to forgive and forget and MOVE ON!!!

I don't agree with them going pro at all..... Only person who might would be Boom(bc of RB depth next year) because more than likely the suspensions will only be 2 or 3 games at the max if all the players can get the money to pay back to charity!

I hope that is the case but from what I have heard it will be pretty hard to get the number of games reduced from 5.

For a guy like Pryor, he could care less about who he is playing, this game is his NFL coming out party and is playing a game for draft stock and $. He has been waiting for 8 years to play this game, a game for $.

We are going to see a TP that we havent seen, ever. If he knows he is going, he is going all out.
You think he hasn't gone all out before??

I'm agreeing with ya', cc--I guess my point was that something like this is polarizing, and can either unite you or splinter you---and I think it'll be the former.

Bullshit. I give them NO credit. I give credit to the guys who CHOSE NOT to do what these guys did. Part of the problem with sports is guys like this, and others who make POOR CHOICES are then given some kind of bullshit SOB story to make them look good. When SO MANY MORE who CHOOSE to do the right thing are RARELY given their kudos.

By doing what they just did, they did what they SHOULD have done. Big friggen deal.

You have got to be kidding. The only reason they wouldn't think of selling them now is because they've been caught doing it. Fuck them. I wish we'd suspend them for the bowl game.

I agree with that, but I'm open to the possiblity that they see they made a huge mistake and I'm hoping they learn form it.

I also think it's a joke they are being suspended for 5 games, but not until next year.

I mean this is nice and all, but everyone is sorry after they get caught. Whether they meant it or not, Tressel was obviously going to make them apologize to the team simply based on how he operates.
