Its not half the season. Last time I checked there are 13 games with a bowl in the season so he would still get 8 games in. I think Posey could improve his status as can Adams. The problem is someone needs to throw it to Posey and I am not sure who will be throwing it next year and how good they will be.

Did he promise to come back next year for football? I thought I heard him say he promises to come back and finish his degree from OSU which he could do without playing football next year. He could have said he'd be back to play, I had it on in the background.

He said he wants to be a leader on and off the field, so going on that alone I think he will be back for football.

At this point, I've come to several conclusions: (1) this rule is stupid beyond belief; (2) the punishment is way out of line for the offense; (3) so long as the players involved continue to be good citizens, at OSU or beyond, I am fine with whatever decisions they make; (4) Ohio State will be fine next year, with or without these guys, including Pryor, and will still challenge for the Big Ten title, if not win it; (5) if the NCAA truly wants to stop people from selling stuff that's given to them and is supposedly theirs, then keep it in a storage container someplace until after they graduate. If you're gonna act like a nanny, go all the way and take the toys away so there's no temptation to be "bad boys".

That wasn't my evaluation though, it was the guys who make the $$ to evaluate players. I am just saying the reason White went so high is that he absolutely wowed scouts at the combine with his ability to sling to football

No, there isn't a difference. They both sold stuff that they had been told not to sell. Who they sell it to doesn't matter.

I think the NCAA might look at it differently. I dont know all of the NCAA's ruled and regulations but I know that anytime you see the word "agent" involved its not a good thing. Improper contact with an agent is a big deal with the NCAA. Wasnt Green also involved in the Miami party that all the UNC players were at?

The kids made a mistake and they apologized for it, I expect the suspension to be reduced before next season.

This. Play with semantics all you want, the agent wasn't the bad part it was the selling.

I thought Green's punishment was incredibly excessive. 1 or 2 games should be the punishment, these kids are selling their stuff.

I agree that selling the stuff is the issue but anytime you get an agent involved it opens up a whole new can of worms

I don't understand what is so hard to understand. It doesn't matter if it is their stuff. It's against the rules to sell it, like it or not. You may think the rule is bad, but it is still the rule.

More than likely? You're out of your mind. They didn't reduce AJ Green's suspension, they won't reduce these 5 Buckeyes either.

Wrong, as usual.
The NCAA said that the suspensions would have been four games, but an additional game was added because the players did not immediately disclose the violations when they became aware that they were illegal.

How come there was no outrage about this rule before TP and the boys got caught? I don't remember anybody knocking the door down when AJ Green got busted.

They could of went out and got some booster to buy that stuff for $30,000 if they wanted to. They went cheap.

but on outside lines today everybody thought the OSU players were getting preferential treatment over other players..

Your post says you don't have a clue. You stated that the crime was the same yet the Buckeyes were getting a more severe punishment. This is wrong, as Karen Lotz pointed out. The Bucks got the extra game suspension because they didn't disclose the information once they were aware it was illegal. What don't you understand?

I would actually compare Matt Jones much more to Cam Newton or even a Steve Bellisari. Matt Jones is 6'6", but he doesn't look it when he runs. He runs with his body leaning forward, compared to Pryor who is much more upright.
That looks very much like Pryor except that Pryor is smoother. Neither are caught from behind, just by those taking an extreme angle of persuit.
