Clearly they aren't a good football team right now. I don't know how admitting that makes me a man but they are most definitely overrated. But, 9 points in 2 games most definitely falls on Schitty's shoulders. It's his job to prepare the offense, correct?

Enough of this, though. Time to drink.

Mangold got abused on the last 2 drives. I guess it's safe to say that the torch has been passed to Pouncey for the AFC's best center.

I guess the Jets guy who kneed him figured if he was going to try to avoid the return blockers by staying OB where the blockers couldn't legally get to him, he'd take matters into his own legs!
He was still on the white strip. Nowhere near six feet.

Whoever stuck his knee out is a dbag.

Shit, I love the Steelers and Mangold is definitely better than Pouncey. Pouncey has had a great rookie season but you have to keep things in perspective.

Sanchez is average at best as an NFL QB, the line (not Mangold) is suspect and they have no big guy other than Holmes.

I agree about Sanchez, but disagree with the rest entirely. Greene and LT are both above average backs, and have rushed for around 1500 combined yards this year.

Keller, Cotchery, and Edwards are all solid receiving targets in addition to Holmes. None of them are great, but they're all better options than anything a lot of teams have to offer. I would say they don't have a stud #1 guy, but they have 3 legitimate #2 options (Cotchery's numbers are down this year, but he had 800+ yards the past 4 seasons, with over 1100 in 2007).

And the Jets have one of the best O-lines in the NFL when healthy. Mangold and Ferguson are both studs, and the others are serviceable at worst.

There is a LOT of talent on that offense, it's just negated with horribly predictable playcalling and an inconsistent QB.

You honestly think Pouncey is a better center than Nick Mangold?

Really?

Jets with 4 games this season not scoring an offensive TD. Go ahead and blame the OC, but ultimately it falls on Rex (Buffon) Ryan!!

I apologize to Nick and the Jets fans on here. I just found out that Nick was injured after the 3rd quarter and his sister played for him the rest of the game.

Isn't the white strip six feet wide from the OB line? He was right on the edge and maybe over a little bit on the green six feet away from the legitimate field. The kneesticker outer was wrong, but so was the guy who got kneed.

I think he should be fired. It doesn't get much dirtier than that. Hopefully a heavy fine by Goodell at least. Jets pretending it didn't happen though, classy!

Exactly!! Contrary to what some others had posted. It wasnt a player. It was a member of (Buffoons) staff!

Talked to someone today who was of the opinion that the Jets were fed up with the Dolphins gunners taking advantage of breaking the rules by running as much as 10' out of bounds on punt coverage. So he thinks the Jets purposely positioned some people right on the edge of the 6' white area where they are allowed to be for the express purpose of impeding the rule breaking gunner, and told them to hold their ground.

The strength coach was the one on the end in the key position and he did hold his ground, and like a basketball player trying to take a charge stuck out his knee a little bit to be sure there was contact. I don't think it was a grievous thing, and the real investigation should be why the officials let the gunners run so far OB, endangering the people on the sidelines in a legal observing area, without any punitive action taken against the gunner.
