Well since I've been underway for 2 weeks, I've read John Grisham's The Confession and Assholes Finish First. Both good reads. Now i'm stuck on choosing what to read next. I have like 2000 ebooks on my kindle. I really want to try the girl with the dragon tattoo but i've read the first chapter and it's not keeping my attention.

Really good so far on summarizing all the events since 9/11.

'Bringing Down The House' for about the 10th time, it's the book that inspired the movie 21. I just watched the movie and it made me want to read the book since it's so much better than the movie.

I've read 3 books so far this new year.

-Game of Thrones - New series coming soon on HBO based on the novels, easy read, pretty cool story
-Blood Meridian - Probably one of the toughest books I've ever read, along with the most violent. It is considered one of the best American novels of the 20th Century and I can see why. Lots of symbolism and meaning behind an old west story.
-The Girl With the Dragon Tattoo - Addictive....read it in about 5 days. It reads very much like a Dan Brown novel in that its a huge page turner and you can tell the author knows a lot about the things he's writing about.

Not sure what my next book will be but I'm trying to read at least 20 novels this year of all different sorts. For the time being I think I'll go back and start reading my Civil War chronicle by Shelby Foote.

BTW Justin I saw you were reading some Cormac McCarthy and if you haven't read Blood Meridian yet you should put it on your list. It is quite a novel.

Knight, My Story. When moving found an old copy of this book that I actually had signed......and forgot about it.

Pretty good...and it is ironic.....as I read this book that does talk about the last undefeated champion in CBB.......the buckeyes are on the verge of going undefeated.

Interesting book. He's a little preachy at times, but it still provides some solid background on what happened and why.

Just finished The Girl with the Dragon Tattoo....took a little while to get into it, but once it did I couldn't put it down. I'm going to go get the other two book in the series as soon as I can.

Also have David Baldacci's new book Hell's Corner. Oliver Stone is one of my favorite fictional characters and I can't wait to read this one.

Just started the camel club series and have competed the camel club and the collectors. Very good books by baldacci and currently on Split Second while waiting for the third book in the series to arrive, Stone Cold.

I also completed the entire political thriller series by Vince Flynn.

Probably sometime later in the year. I'm very excited for David Fincher's take on the story when the movie comes out in December.

I'm really excited to see what they do with the movie. I wonder if they'll pussyfoot around certain parts of the book or be no-holds barred.

My guess is.....slightly toned down for the theatrical release with an unrated director's cut. But honestly I can't see them even trying to market the thing as PG-13, especially with Fincher directing. So I would expect him to push the envelope as far as R-ratings go.
