People forget that Pryor has a SR year.

He's gotten better each year, so it's possible.

However, I loved Troy Smith. He was clutch and big time... Except in 1 game.

Most people's English is terrible on twitter because they only give you 140 characters. It drives me nuts!

Even Shaq who has a BA in General Studies, and MBA, and is working on his PhD has terrible grammar on Twitter.

You are right. TP's Jr year stats are better already.

TP is on track to finishing top 5 all time passing in a season this year. Next year he can finish #1 all time career. What do you guys want out of him?

He has done well. However I don't know anyone who could objectively say with a straight face that Terrelle Pryor is a better quarterback than Troy Smith. Troy wasn't the athletic freak Pryor is but he was fast and especially his senior year he utilized that speed to buy more time in the pocket and find the open guy.

Now it's obvious that Troy's offensive weapons were better than Pryor's but it's not like Pryor is playing with a bunch of bums. The biggest thing for me in where they are different is throwing the football. Troy Smith had an absolute cannon. Not only could he throw it deep but he threw frozen ropes on his short to intermediate passes. He was also a lot more accurate than Pryor. Those are the things that stand out to me.

Stats aside will someone PLEASE tell me that Pryor is a better team leader than Troy Smith. That's right...you can't.

That fact alone tells me that Smith is the better QB.

Smith beat Notre Dame in the Fiesta Bowl. They have the same record as starters in BCS games.

You could have said the same thing about about Smith as a starter.
Ankle Breaker;568174 wrote:This pretty much sums up how I feel about the question. I wouldn't trade Pryor for very many QB's in the entire country.

That isn't the question though, it is a comparison between Smith and Pryor. And I would take Cam Newton over Pryor (minus all the allegations) and probably Andrew Luck as well. But other than that, I'd have Pryor as the 3rd or 4th best QB in the nation.

At this point, Pryor IMO is not at Smith's level (in college), but he has an entire season to out perform Smith.

Pryor is one of the top QB's in the nation easily, but T. Smith is one of the best college QB's OF ALL TIME.

Give me T. Smith any day.

I think Pryor is just behind Troy in the decision making and mental aspects of the game at this point in his career. It was the little things that made Troy awesome, great awareness, great decisions, and not making mental mistakes. Pryor has been too inconsistent this year as one play he will look awesome and the next like a freshman.

Troy's junior season started slow (no Texas game), but then played fantastic down the stretch, especially in the 2005 Michigan game. Pryor to me is not at that level yet. He is close, but if he can capture the mental parts of the game and stop making stupid throws and mistakes, he will even with and probably pass Troy next year.

Why he's got the bestest ever ranking above all others. He has made incredible strides since arriving on campus as the most recruited player of all time out of PA. The coaching staff opens up the offensvie play calling more and more each game as TP shows he has the grasp of picking up his reads and going through his progressions. Why he has to be the front runner for the Heisman next year. Might as well just name him the greatest college quarterback to ever play the game. He's that good.

Now, can he actually lead his team to a national championship next year?
