Just thinking that this game would have been perfect to run a spit back offense
we have not run it and the formation change would create confusion wfor their defense. I really hope we commit to the run this game. I don't care who runs it just run and use clock. I really fear us only throwing and having our D on the field all night.

Im so tired of people in town asking me if we will see more of mason and matt running for this game. Everybody seems to want more of that. I know that's not going to happen but if everybody seems to think we should do more of it doesn't any of this talk get back to the coaching staff?

Oh crap, I went to Roosters and watched the Celtics beat the Miami Hate and Falcons beat the Ravens and didn't miss 1 comment on EC and Orrville in all that time :(

How about them Falcons!!! Its to bad their aren't many EC posters id like to hear their perspective on the game. Was Series a former coach at OHS? If so id have to agree with BRF on the personality part (got your back BRF) haha. Haven't been able to go to too many games this season due to work but id love to see us run the I-Form with Pirman at TE Davis at FB (switch reps with Mason) and when Mason isn't HB put Tre in and go with the play action to Pirman everytime. Also would like to see Davis get more carries in short yardage situations he's very mobile and the kids a stud. Can't wait to see how the Riders come out tomorrow night. I'm very excited for this one specially if we get a rematch with Clear Fork after they beat them Comets. Go Riders I'm predicting an Orrville win 28 to 21

That's not an Elyria paper. That's a Lorain paper.

The Elyria paper may not have anything in it about the game but you won't know if you look at another City's paper.

Their paper is called the Chronicle Telegram...formerly the Elyria Chronicle.

Nothing in the Elyria paper at all.

Lot's of confidence from the EC side...and not just "one man's opinion" either....that's right from the coaches and players.

I'll bet their talk doesn't get called "cocky" or "arrogant."

I get a feeling from some of the media releases I have read coming out of EC that they do not have a clue what our team is about. I hope that is the case. We will give our maximum effort tonight!

Message from coach D last night at the weekly team dinner, " Above all else tomorrow night men.....have fun, have a blast out there, don't ever take it for granted"

The media may not have a clue about the Red Riders but I wouldn't let that spill over into what you believe your opponents might know about your program.

My point exactly....

Hope EC is playing possum....or maybe they're just coached in how to be coy with the media.....I remember a certain Genoa team talking about how they were confident and rolling right along. Hope it plays out the same way tonight.

Why would any fan base, coaching staff or team underestimate an Ohio playoff opponent?

To suggest EC doesn't know what they are up against is fool-hearty.

As a Red Rider fan to not respect what EC has and can do can also be a recipe for surprise.

Why would a program do anything but provide public information to their fan-base that gave then an excited, anxious feeling?

Should a team not generate cautious, confidence in the locker room? Can they truly win in the playoffs without it?

I am not trying to suggest they are underestimating us, I am saying they do not know our team's players and roles very well...at least by what is being quoted. I realize that what is being quoted may be taken out context here or there but this seems to be pretty consistent. I am not trying to pick a fight here, it is just a perception I have...and I do not think I am alone.

I am aware Lorain and Elyria both have papers, that's why I said Lorain Journal has 2 articles, listed them, and then said Elyria paper had nothing in it on the game, duh!

By the way there's no such paper as the "Lorain Journal" any longer.
