What about Orrville? Dover? Canton Central Catholic? St. Clairesville? Martin's Ferry would be ok also. EL OK, Salem OK. All have decent facilities. What about Alliance? What ever happened to the Warren Harding connection? If we do any Pittsburgh teams on Fridays, the West Side would be better if H/H, as no one really wants to drive through Pittsburgh on a Friday afternoon. West Allegheny? Mars (the Planets?) Moon? Most of them are in conferences and can only play early in the year. Lot's of banter, just for exercise. The schedule has worked for 25+ years, someone must have a pretty good idea of how to schedule.
Canton CC and East Liverpool dropped us, so they're out. Warren Harding signed a home-and-home contract with us and then backed out because they are going to be in a conference next year and would not be able to play us at home. That turned out to be a bad mistake on their part, because had they honored the first year of the contract, they would have played in Rally at Death Valley and would have taken home a nice paycheck.
We can't play more than one Pittsburgh team because of their WPIAL scheduling obligations. As it is, we will probably play Gateway at Heinz in our week 2 (their week 1). Martins Ferry would be a good choice, but apparently they don't want to play us.
