...or this year's Oak Harbor team was not like Oak Harbor's last two. It can go both ways if you want to make comparisons based on that.

You're right. I'd love to see Genoa lose. Only because you're memory is so bad. You've been good for three years. THREE YEARS! And you act like you're the best thing since sliced bread. I'm sorry, it pretty annoying. Had the refs actually called an illegal player downfield (on the 2pt conversion) and our QB not gotten hurt, we would've beaten the mighty comets. You won a monstrous 15-7. Lowly Oak Harbor would've prevented the Comets from their third celestial bowl trophy (your 3rd such trophy to our 8). No worries though. I never claimed that the Rockets were great. They are pretty average at best...decent talent with horrendous coaching.

i do not believe that Genoa is as good as advertised. The SLL was awful this year and you cannot deny that. You've beaten up on a bunch of bad teams this year and you will get exposed in the playoffs. It's nothing to be ashamed of. At least you made the playoffs. That's always something to be proud of.

well i think a win is a win? i might be wrong though? if this if that. everything is if. you guys lost, big deal suck it up. haters are gonna hate. and youre gonna hate because youre jealous. clearly. usually you root for teams around you. you must be some asshole that has been on oak harbors team the past three and got your ass whooped. suck it up. the time is NOW. there is a new era in genoa, that is the0 coach vicars and coach speiss. im sure oak harbor has had its ups and downs. so big deal we are on our high horse, we deserve it. if the role was reversed you would be the same. you should be rooting for genoa because if they make a run it makes your team look better. and last time i checked this wasn't a oak harbor genoa thread.

It was 7-6. Botched extra point for OG in the 2nd was the difference. A LOT of running and a hard fought game. I have a lot of respect for Ottawa Glandorf's QB Kahle, he was hurt early with what looked like a knee injury and fought through it, limping the entire second half throwing great passes when he had to. He could barely walk between plays and toughed it out to help his team. Great performance by that kid. OG had a great team, I can only imagine what would have happened if Kuhlman was well enough to play.

Looks like Genoa didn't get crushed like some hoped for. I suppose you'll have to hold onto that unnecessary anger for at least another week.

Alas the comet's came away victorious tonight. Ole Tinkertrain is crushed again by those dang comet's :( As for the game itself what a dandy it was! Deffinetly glad I went to this one tonight instead of driving over to Mccomb and seeing St.Joe get killed.

Couple thing's I noticed tonight

1. Ottawa-Glandorf was thinking too much on defense instead of relaxing and focusing on their key's. Genoa ran the same plays over and over (as they should have) and glandorf looked like they never caught on to it. If I can figure out that Nutter is going to go behind whatever direction Duffendock goes in motion to. You'd think the OG coaches would have been able to figure that out.

2. A little confused why Vicars opted to go for it on fourth and four in the fourth rather than kicking the field goal. In a tight defensive battle like this you'd think he'd want to force Glandorf to have to get a touchdown to win rather than just a field goal.

3. Was the heated tent area for Genoa really necessary? I know it's cold out but C'MON, man up comets!

4. Ottawa Glandorf is deffinetly not the same team offensively without Kaufman.

Well Genoa's boosters had some extra cash lying around in a pile and no match so they got some heaters. if it makes you feel better it didn't look like it was used much by players. Pretty much just ball boys. Genoa ran a lot of the same plays, but by the looks of it, OG ran many consecutive plays as well. The defenses tightened up when they had to though. I questioned the field goal option too, since it's definately in Vicars' all-state kicker's range. But hindsight's 20/20. If they scored a TD on that play we'd be praising him.

I see Genoa made their PAT. I am going to the Clear Fork/Genoa game next week. Period! Should be a GREAT game! Good luck to both teams, but I'll be rooting for Clear Fork. Go Colts!
