Year after year it's a pleasure to see the kids I've watched grow up in my community, playing in the various community leagues, work together for team success in high school. It's nice to know so many of the players, their histories, and often their families as well.
I would miss that in a program using recruitment and open enrollment just to produce a successful team. Much more satisfaction to be had seeing 'my own' (win or lose) do the job!
