Imagine that, this thread was all the way at the bottom of page three in this forum. United being two points clear at the top and level on goal difference with "the greatest" football team on Earth wouldn't have anything to do with it?

In Barcelona's current form, no team can play with them.

But as we have seen already (With Chelsea), it can change in a week!

^^^^No doubt it can change quickly. My favorite part of the season in the EPL is coming up, nothing like the Holiday stretch of games and it's a great English tradition. Too bad the other European leagues take a winter break.

^^^^You want to lose another bet? They may not end up winning the league but they won't collapse, it'll be tight right down to the last day. Then again.......who knows what your definition of a "collapse" is.

From the limited games I've watched so far this season, Barcelona is the top dogs IMO. Except they did look shaky in both matches against FCK in the Champions League.

I will enjoy Arsenal's time at the top of the table for now.....because from what I've seen in the past, they won't be there for long.

Its no shock at all that Barcelona has hit top stride right now as it coincides with Xavi getting healthy. He is still a bit injured, but his tendinitis in his Achilles was killing him and in turn Barca early on. Messi is the best player on that team...but Xavi is probably the most important and the guy that makes them successful.

United has two games in hand on Chelsea (one after tomorrow)......does that change your thinking a little?

Not a whole lot, either way they aren't really far out. Not the ideal position but certainly nothing drastic.

^^^^They could possibly be 7 points off the top if United win both those games, that's more than "not a whole lot".

No, because like I said....its December.

If Arsenal gets 3 tomorrow then what? There are way too many matches to be played to get a hard on about dropping a point.

in that situation, Lampard takes that PK every time, IMO...I don't care if he has been out or not...

on the other hand, the save by Gomes was absolutely clutch after conceding both the equalizing goal and the take-down in the box.

LOL.......what ever you say but, United could potentially be 7 points clear after the Holiday stretch of games. BTW, Arsenal will find it very hard to win tomorrow "AT" Old Trafford, United is yet to lose a game in the league.

If United were to go seven points clear then they would absolutely have to collapse for Chelsea to over take them and I don't care if they play each other 10 times.

BTW, I just checked the table, Chelsea is level on points (not a point behind as Auto said) with Man U who has two games in hand on them.
