Yes Didier and Lampard are 32 but both still have at least 2-3 years left playing at the top level. Same goes for Anelka, Malouda, and Terry, but the rest of the squad is in the prime years of their respective careers. Of course the club could use an injection of young blood but what club couldn't? Remember that they didnt spend big this summer, so Ambramovich is probably saving his checkbook for next summer. As for their recent dip in form I consider that having a lot to do with Lampard being out injured at the moment. In his absence they seem to lack someone who controls the tempo of the game from the center of midfield, much like United do without Scholes.
