The words "to hell in a handbasket" were initiated by Ty. I was playing off those words to make my point that a state not using a tax on income to generate revenue, is not the primary reason for a state experiencing economic hardship. Ohio deviating from an income tax does not send them to "hell in a handbasket". We can argue the best means of collecting state revenue. Not sure why you are trying to read all this extra bullshit into it.
Also I agree with you that Ted is not the cause of our economic situation here in Ohio nor do I think he made it worse to any great degree. I would classify Strickland's performance as average given the economic hand he was dealt. I think we need a governor that is more aggressive and willing to push some radical changes within the state. A necessity if you expect any major change in how public schools are funded. Personally I don't think Kasich is the man that will bring this type of change either. I will be happy at least with a change in governorship every four years until we find one that can.
There is hope for Ohio. The people will eventually come to their senses. And do what needs to be done. Just look at New Jersey. Even they came to their senses in electing Chris Christie.
I have not said one negative thing about Strickland's performance on this site until this post, and my criticism is mild. Nor have I said anything positive about Kasich. I have only commented on this thread to make general points or just to add a little humor. But somehow you have concocted in your mind that I think your man Strickland is the cause of Ohio's economic ills.

My logic? You keep making these assumptions. I would be happy if we threw out every single one of those idiots. So long as they were replaced by solid fiscal conservatives. Ones with a solid pair of balls. Ones with the foresight to constrain spending in prosperous times and set aside funds in order to weather any unanticipated economic storms.
