Right now I really don't see a front runner for the Heisman. There is a group of players but not one of them is the clear cut favorite. Robinson was but today's game hurt him, he will have to bounce back against Iowa.

Kellen Moore should be the front runner. Denard is a great athelete, but now comes the beat down from the Big Ten which will hurt his Heisman chances.

Pryor had a great game as a passer today.

Because he's a sophomore starting for the first time, he had NO preseason hype (no one knew that he was going to be the starter this season until a few minutes before kickoff of their first game), and his team probably isn't going to be good much longer. It's obvious that people have been looking for a reason to not vote for him and to vote for someone from the establishment (i.e. someone who had preseason hype). As much as we'd like to see the Heisman go to the most outstanding player in a given year, it usually goes to the most outstanding player on a decent team who's been good for a while.

I think most Alabama backs are out of it at this point and I do that that Robinson having less than 100 rushing yards and throwing 3 picks in a big loss at home will certainly hurt him. I think what we'll see in most polls/projections this week is Pryor, Moore, and James at the top with Robinson very close behind. Now, I'm not saying that I agree with that or that I think they're right, but I think that's what places like StiffArmTrophy, the Heisman Predictor, and ESPN's Expert's Poll will look like. I also think that you'll see Taylor Martinez move way up the list, and we'll have to wait and see what happens with Stanford to see where Luck ends up. Basically there are about 8 guys right now who I think have a legitimate claim to being on the ballot (top 3) if the award were voted on right now. The beautiful thing is that there's still 8 weeks of college football left and most of these guys will fall of this list by season's end leaving us with only a few guys to choose from.

Cam Newton is the real deal. I know Kentucky's defense is nothing special, but his poise tonight was incredible. And he was 2 rushing yards from 200/200.

Do you have them confused with the Ohio mascot job?

I would say that Pryor and Newton are at the top of the pack with Kellen Moore and Taylor Martinez right below them.

I hope Kellen Moore wins it, not because I think he is better than TP(he's not), but because I want TP to focus on winning the National Championship, not meaningless awards(really, the last guy who deserved it was Troy Smith, once Tebow won it going 7-5, the award became meaningless).

Troy Smith deserved it? Really?

After Tebow won it became worthless?

If you want to use that argument, you can go all the way back to Archie Griffin's 2nd Heisman.

Tebow is no better than Colt Brennan, a system QB. Why do you think Tebow scored so many TD's? It's because they had no RB, he didn't deserve it, especially when his team was barely bowl eligible.

And don't bring up Archie, he's the ONLY player to win 2 Heismans, suck on that punk.

Cam Newton has to be moving up the list. He is #2 in passing efficiency and 17th in rushing.

Its Terrelle's to lose now. If OSU goes 12 - 0 make room for #8 in the trophy case.

Pryors passing stats are equal to Moore's and Superior to Newton's. Newton and Pryor both have three 100 yard rushing games. Pryor has not been the intentional runner Newton has. Pryor has half the rushing attempts as Newton. Pryor also has the highest of the three in completion percentage. I think it is his to lose.

It is a 2 horse race at this point between Newton and Pryor.

James from Oregon is right up there.
