as of today, IMO:
1.) LaMichael James
2.) Cam Newton
3.) Kellen Moore
and I think there's still an outside chance for Terrelle Pryor, Denard Robinson & Mark Ingram

1. Cameron Newton
2. LaMichael James
3. Kellen Moore
Moore a distant 3rd because of the knock against Boise. It's almost guaranteed to go to Newton if Auburn loses zero or one game. The guy is going to score 40+ touchdowns...and is quarterbacking an unbeaten team. History says it's his to lose...

Newton Heisman comes down to one game, Bama. If he can play good, win or lose..he should win it. If he happens to lay an egg...then James or Moore will win it.

No way Moore should even be in the discussion, he's not going to win it, even if he should.

Moore will get an invite for a few reasons:
1) His team will be unbeaten
2) They like having a "good story from a small school" in there
3. He will have the numbers
However, he is just a placeholder in the discussion. I can't believe I agreed with sleeper, but he is right. Moore has no chance to win the Heisman.

It will be interesting what Newton does in the next 2 weeks. He could really pad some stats against Chattanooga, and given the combination of Auburn's lackluster defense, Georgia's potent offensive ability and Georgia's pathetic defense, the UGA/AU game in 2 weeks could be another 4-6 TD performance for Newton.
He could, realistically, have 40+ TD's heading into the Friday game against Alabama, where as CBF said, the Heisman will be on the line. However, even if Newton loses that game, he's going to be in the top 2-3 for the Heisman. People compare him to Tim Tebow, and to be honest, the style isn't all that different. He's a better runner, but the impact they have as a ball controller is very similar.

you really think that tp is better than moore? hell no. tp in my book is one if not thee most overrated qb in the entire nation. dude does not have the abilitly to take a game over like moore or cam newton. im pulling for either on of those guys.

LOL? I think the Oregon running back is more deserving. Auburn hasn't played anyone yet and they are goign to get STOMPED when they play bama. Just a typical non traditional SEC team getting overhyped because the south has nothing better to do.

His Rose Bowl MVP disagrees with you. Another jealous hater comes out of the woodwork.

Show me a game where he has completely taken over the game like Moore or Newton has??
And yes.....Moore is a better natural QB

Game winning drive in Wiscy 2 years ago? Yeah that was one he took over and won by himself.
As long as Newton does well it's his to lose, Moore just doesn't get the opps against quality competition to be in the discussion.

yeah great. he took complete control of 2 games his entire career so far at OSU. no i am not a "hater" i just think he is one of thee most overrated qbs in college football today. and i don't wanna hear, well what about jake locker or ryan mallet. neither one of those guys were serious contenders for the heisman this year. why do you think tressel won't let go with the offense like he did troy smith? because tressel doesn't trust tp to do it. kellen moore is hands down a better natural qb.

So tell me O-wise-one, how many games while at OSU has he played that he was actually needed/required to "take over"?
Maybe 6? And how many of those were as a freshman?
Face it, you really don't have a clue if you don't look at all the facts.
And just to be clear, I think he has a hard time cracking the top 5.

you tell me? i don't really care for ohio state football. all i know is when the game is on the line tp can not take the game over. he has failed time after time. so for him to be considered a heisman frontrunner he has to have the ability to take a game over. i don't care if you say he took the rose bowl game over or the wisconsin game over two years ago. the time is now. and when his team needed him the most he can't come through. kellen moore on the other hand, he has ice in his veins. he has proven it, time after time. thats why i think he is ahead of tp for the heisman trophy.ytownfootball;541460 wrote:So tell me O-wise-one, how many games while at OSU has he played that he was actually needed/required to "take over"?

He's got ice in his veins? Really? Idaho and the LA Techs of the world must really bring out the best in him.shook_17;541482 wrote:. kellen moore on the other hand, he has ice in his veins. he has proven it, time after time. thats why i think he is ahead of tp for the heisman trophy.
You're the one with the criticisms, why the fuck should I do your busy work? Time and Time again? What is his record at OSU as a starter?you tell me? i don't really care for ohio state football. all i know is when the game is on the line tp can not take the game over. he has failed time after time.

no but the va tech game when he led the game winning touchdown against the 10 ranked team in the nation. or last year against oregon the same team that ohio state beat that year.ytownfootball;541490 wrote:He's got ice in his veins? kellen moore 33-1 as a starter. his only loss coming against TCU ranked #11 Terrelle Pryor 29-6. losses to USC (2) Penn State Texas Wisconsin and Purdue. the years he lost to USC the were ranked #1 and #3 Penn State #3 Texas #3 and a shitty purdue team.
both qbs are juniors. Moore career tds 82. Pryor 50 career tds

Uh huh, VT, that lost to James Madison...
I'll take 5 losses and a few TD's against highly superior competition on a weekly basis as you think it's a wash.
If you don't consider competition the argument fails imo. We get it. You think he's over rated. I think was over-hyped, there's no argument about that.
He's improved a ton since he got thrown to the wolves against USC, that's also hardly debatable. The only thing that is debatable is the opponents.

over hyped might be a better choice of wording for him. there is no doubt he has significantly improved from his freshman year. it is night and day from his freshman year to his junior year. i just don't think he is worthly of hiesman talk.
lemme ask you this. my friend and i got in an agruement about this. you have one drive to win the national championship. who would you take. troy smith or terrelle pryor?

Troy Smith in his final season.
...But Pryor still has a year to go, kind of an unfair question. Based on his progression I could change my mind though.

Cam Newton is no more polished as a QB than Terrell Pryor is, (does Jamarcus Russell come to mind for both of them?) I like James to win the Heisman, but if Auburn somehow goes undefeated (and with that defense I don't think it is possible) Newton will win the Heisman because for some reason the media loves him. I agree with the opinions that say Kellen Moore has no chance, even though I think he is very good, Boise's schedule does work against him. The top 3 should be (in my opinion) 1. James, 2. Newton, 3. Moore

Lol Shook the burden of proof is on you, you claimed someone cant do something now you have to back up what you say. You can be like "he cant do this, but I dont know enough about it to provide proof so ill just stick with my stupid assertions."
How fucking dumb are you?
