Now I am all for helping others, But this comes across as BEGGING people to pay to post to me. why not just set up a donations link?

Kory Wiita has a long road ahead of him, and JJHuddle would like to help him down it. With that being said, JJHuddle will be donating $2 to the Kory Wiita Benevolent Fund for every forum subscriber we have sign up from now until the end of the year (Dec. 31). We recently sent in an initial donation, but want to send a much larger offering come January.

I don't know if its begging, but they are pretty desperate even without this little deal

Actually guess they have some extra cash at their disposal, though it seems like for a good cause so I won't blast that portion of it. I haven't even seen that website since the Wed. night before the pay to play!

Who is the Kid they are takling about , And what happend to him?

As I said IF they had a link posted to just donate money for this kid I would do it in a heartbeat . But to offer $2.00 of a SUBSCRIPTION to post on a dead website, NO WAY.

All I have done over there is attempt to read the free stuff, and PM people about this site but I think I am going to go out and find a link for this kid and post it in the bleacher seats where peole can donate without signing up over there.

The cause is good, but I find it disgusting they are piggybacking on this cause to solicit memberships.

I think this is a historic and despicable low for the puddle.

Trying to capitalize on this kid's misfortunes is just flat out WRONG!!!! This is one of the slimiest things I've seen lately. What's next, pay the subscription price and they'll donate to the 9/11 NYFD fund?

Why are you guys even going over to that site anymore?

I told them I wouldn't pay and if they went through with it I would not be back I have been on once since "pay day" just to see how many stayed.

Stop going over! They don't want you, they only want you $12. Stop giving them the satisfaction of their name on this site!

I say sign up for one month, pay your $1, have them donate $2, then cancel your membership!

Yea, some people on this site are like ex-girlfriends who claim they're over the ex but continue to stalk their facebook, talk shit about them whenever they can, etc. etc. etc.

I haven't been back to the Huddle since. This site is better than the Huddle ever was. I couldn't care less about it.

Almost every organization that you buy from is donating money to a good cause. Do you not buy anything because they are sending part of the proceeds to a worthy cause?

I definately didn't see it as a way to try to increase subscriptions, I see it as a way to help a family in their time of need. Of course, it is all mindset and some people will find negative anything.

I have problems with any business that does a good deed and then spends time promoting what they did.

Why can't JJ just donate money to this family and be done with it? Why do they need to attach signing up for their site to get more money? Why even talk about donating money in the first place?

It's just not coming from the heart and that's pretty corny and conceited.

One more thing... I certainly hope that none of this young man's family and friends have logged into this site. What a slap in the face!! Of course, you probably all donate money to planned parenthood. What do you care about human beings and their feelings.. After all, this forum is now called serious business.

I don't donate to Planned Parenthood because I have zero-respect for human life, bs1234. I do it because I simply hate babies. Actually, I hate n00bs, and babies qualify as n00bs, so logically, I hate babies.

First off, I am not, by nature, a person who finds negativity in situations. I will, however, remember things and after a while, if there negative things that continue to happen, I naturally pick up on it and eventually react to it.

Yes, I will buy things if the profits go to a good cause. This is again another JJ marketing screw up. Marketing it as make an "X amount" donation to this kid's fund and you get a free one year membership is more palatable in my mind than saying buy our membership and we'll donate $2 to the kid.

It would be them, and you, really helping the kid and you get something free because of it as opposed to them seizing the opportunity to turn a profit and increase web traffic to their site.

JJ is now "grasping for straws". They made a Baaaaaaad business decision.

And thats exactly what they want you to think, it's called business. Sure, the few dollars they generate will go for a good cause, but if you think that's the sole purpose, you're blind. Ironic they decide to start doing this when they are losing everybody to free websites.
