Your right it is a tough question. One that only the parents can truly answer. Likely my first reaction would be like your parents. But I can't say under certain circumstances my mind would not be changed and I would not allow it.
I am a Hiland grad. Played basketball there. Both my younger brothers transferred to Garaway during high school. One played baseball and the other wanted to play football. My mom and dad were divorced and my mom had moved into the Garaway school district. I did not like that they transferred but so be it. Even if my dad wanted to he could not have forced them to stay. But he never would have forced them to stay, even though in the case of one of my brothers he had to move in with my mom. There are a lot of underlying issues to these decisions that those looking in on the outside will never realize.
Seger and his parents have made this decision. I respect that. Only they can make it. Its not ideal how this came about, but I will support this young man just like the all the rest of the hiland players. He is now a Hiland Hawk and I will not look at him differently.
