I like the majority of the guys on 97.1 as well too lately, even with my disdain for OSU. They do a good job to not be completely over the top.

The Common Man and the torg annoy me to no end.

I love when Tracy guesses the weight of the female callers.. "let me guess, 105?"

On the sports side I prefer Mo Egger over Lance McAlister. Lance spends too much time talking about TV, board games and his kids and is too much of a homer for the Bengals, Reds, etc to ever speak the truth about what everyone is talking about.

I've always liked Cowherd. As mentioned, his points are usually right there, even if you don't agree. A little biased toward where he grew up, but it doesn't overtake the broadcast.

He just RIPPED Cleveland fans (and Ohio in general) today... and though it is a little harsh, it is correct at least on a base level. If you can get the podcast, listen to it.

I am stuck with 97.1 at work, so if I want sports, I have to tolerate their programming. Mike and Mike are good, but never very hard hitting - nice fit for a morning show. Cowherd sometimes has good information, but many times makes the wrong conclusion. It seems like he is more interested in being a pompous a-hole than making a point that adds to a real discussion. Also, he is way too interested in the business of sports for my taste. I prefer hearing about players and games than ratings and market share. Spiels and Hooley stink. I don't listen hardly ever. Bad match, bad delivery, weak topics and generally boring. I used to hate Common Man and the Torg - two idiots who somehow got on the radio to talk about their favorite teams and do fart jokes. But, they have settled into a decent niche. After listening to the ESPN drones and the straight-laced local slugs, these two change the pace up in a good way. I'm not coming away with much real info, but at least it's more fun to hear them talk like fans and not reporters or writers.

^ Awesome, he provides the best insite into a pro, college and football players world than any other former player. He had a great story about his time at St. Iggy the other day.
