The fact that you had MJs death ahead of the Fall of the Wall, Katrina, Columbine, OK City, etc is just insane. You are comparing the world changing because of one mans death, which while trajeic in its own right, doesnt have hardly ANY CONSEQUENCES on the way the world moved forward. He was an entertainer, and without him we have to find a new way to be entertained. PLENTY of other things have not only completely changed the way we have to actually live our lives, but many more people died. They may not have been famous, so the media coverage isnt as big, but they were much, MUCH more significant to this world.
You can make the argument he is the biggest (celebrity) death, although I think many poeple have other answers, namely Princess Di. But MJ can be argued in that sense. Again, MJ was an entertainer and was worldwide so his death led to a bunch of media coverage and sadness. But Princess Di brought a lot more good to this world than MJ. MJ brough great music, Diana brought just about everything you could ask (like many other celebrity deaths).
