I tried to promote the event on a large golf forum that happens to have a lot of Ohio golfers on it. I sent a PM to the owner first just to make sure it was cool to promote a charity event. No dice, too to advertising advertising.

If I ever get so greedy that I won't allow people to promote charity events because it's "advertising" please shoot me in the face.

I have a charity event to benefit my drinking habit. Can I advertise it on the site? I'd also appreciate a separate section of the site devoted to it like you have the golf outing.

I get to test the repaired Shoulder this weekend in a 4 man scramble. We'll see how it goes.

I plan on being there either way...as a beer getter/drinker or a golfer that can only chip and putt, correction poorly chip and putt. (I might even bring The Wife)

She'll come with me, she doesn't golf and I hate to golf leaving her by 'herself'. Between that and the shoulder will depend on if I golf or not. I guess if we don't golf we can always help out at the course and put that same amount of money toward a donation.

Your right, I would love to play, however I will be in Alpena, Michigan in the middle of a big mobilization exercise. While you lucky guys are out there playing golf, drinking beers and flirting with Fab4, I'll probably be in full chem gear fighting off pretend bad guys. ;( Where do think I would rather be. Hopefully this become an annual event and I can do it next year.

I'm debating coming. I have to work Saturdays so I'd have to try and get the day off. Plus I really don't want to put 3 other people through the torture of golfing with me. It's hard enough for me to golf with me.

Well I'm not the greatest golfer but this for a worthy cause,and Longaberger is not too far away from me and I've always wanted to tear up I mean play their golf course.
