Thanks for the update. Every other media outlet in the country must have dropped the ball, because you certainly told us something we didn't know.

Verbally sign? I thought you couldn't sign until July 8th?

Yea, he left that part out. Teams can get verbal commits tonight, which doesn't mean shit.

I'd be willing to bet it's DWade.

If it's one of the "Big" Names.

Big=LBJ, Wade, Bosh.

If I was Wade I'd wait until I knew for a fact another big FA was coming onboard.

Nothing like having a team with 3-4 players on it currently.

IMO, "Big names" = James, Wade, Bosh, Amare and Johnson

I would possibly include Amar'e. But Joe Johnson is vastly overrated.

It's probably just JJ committing to the max that ATL's offering him.

EDIT: Devil beat me.

Per Amick:

Byron Scott and the Cavs have agreed to "essential terms, with details to be worked out throughout the night," according to his agent.

Agree 100%.

I always thought he'd stay in ATL, at least signs with them and may be traded... No way he was oging to leave that much money on the table at this point in his career.

just saw that James is considering playing in Europe. He is being given the chance to be a player/coach for Regal FC Barcelona.

I kinda like Prokhorov.
The top contenders for James are jockeying, and those on the inside issued a warning on the eve of the summer free agency: The Nets are serious contenders for James – far outdistancing the neighboring New York Knicks who awoke to a 225-by-95-foot mural of Prokhorov and Jay-Z outside Jim Dolan’s office window at Madison Square Garden. The Knicks have already called the league office, grumbling about its arrival.

The first "big" name did agree on a contract.

Drew Gooden agrees on a 5-year $32M deal with the Bucks

Not a bad deal for probably the most inconsistent player I've ever seen!
